We didn't evolve. Anything more than micro-evolution is a lie and it's very easy to see that it's wrong - if you want to. But I have to admit it's a very popular lie and people swing words like scientific to make it impressive. Of course much depends on this lie for many people. They can do whatever they want because they are just a buch of random cells, right?

Doctors just don't want to admit that they don't have a clue what is causing the sickness (and not just this one). And because of that they pretend to know, inventing far fetched theories. That is a large part of their profession in health care. To make people feel they know and can help. The drugs are there to keep the cycle going. Because then patients depend on them for further medication.

I can tell you what is wrong with the world and Facebook. It is that you all think that you are a bunch of animals waiting to die. And all you can do is to squeeze that tomato to get as much pulp as possible until you hit the fan. It is your faith or lack thereof that makes you worry about everything because you feel so helpless facing a world that is trying to rip you off on every possible level.

I'm not saying they don't have a problem with smog but one thing I know is that this kind of journalism is not helping anyone. It is just like everywhere: we tend to get emotional about stuff which doesn't help us to find a solution. It just makes people dislike each other.

I guess the suspects should not go to the same place as the convicts. So prisons only for convicts and "safekeeping places" (which are not allowed to be near a prison) for the suspects.

To treat suspects like criminals is not right. You and me could end up being a suspect without the slightest guilt in the matter.

Sometimes it takes ages for an age to get aged.

You shouldn't be confused. It's all just numbers and ideas. There isn't really such a thing as a "vote" or "clear" or even "Hacker News" apart from the idea you have of it in your mind.

It is all rooted in suffering. People fear (for their lives if they eat the wrong thing). Some create stories/myths and people believe in them because it gives them a sense of security.

Now if someone else says that what they believe (which helps them to cope with their fear) is totally wrong, the "religious" battle begins.

If you look at most religions you will discover the same pattern: fear from gods, daemons, enemies etc.

Then a religion is formed to alleviate the pain. It is stupid but hey that's what people do.

You would better confront the fears and not create more suffering with some silly stories.

edit: probably I shouldn't say silly, it's sad that we need to create all theses stories which in the end create much more suffering for everyone (just think about all the quarrels/fights/wars people have being pro or contra some myth/religion/ideology)
