Never really noticed it until I started a new job and they were pitching all these federal and company commuter benefits and didn't see a single one for bikes.
But hey.. my work has a nice locker room that makes biking possible so it's not all bad! I also ride about half the way on bike paths under high voltage lines so I do get some benefits :)
yeah as someone that bikes 25 miles per day for commute it kinda bothers me how many tax breaks are given to other forms of commute like trains, buses, vansharing, EV, etc.
Cool didn't know about LEDE, I use the iPhone app to manage the ubiquiti. But I don't really need to manage much. Just upgraded the firmware once...

I'd rather have my wifi be a black box that just works and my router be a little more just raw hardware with openbsd or linux or pfsense.
they only build luxury developments in dallas too.. it's not exactly rocket science as too why.. the land is expensive and they need a ROI.

Yeah meta-moderation, limited mod points and a secret algorithm for earning mod points based on reputation works pretty well. Oh.. and a maximum score for comments.
even if the containers are made with corten, it's not good for sea. The protective rust keeps getting washed off by the rain and the salt is too much for it to handle. Ends up rusting just as bad..

I re-bought everything, chair, monitor stand, electronically raising desk, keyboard, two vertical mice - for left hand and right hand. I didn't find it that hard to use a left handed mouse as a right handed person but your mileage may vary. I swap between the two throughout the day.
I think out of all of those, having the monitor at the right height, vertical mouse, kinesis advantage and then using a pomodoro timer are the best bang for buck. The standing desk is nice but not really essential in my opinion. Just getting up and walking after a 25-30m pomodoro session is good enough.
I love it SO much. I wouldn't be able to be a software engineer without it. The amount of neck, shoulder, elbow, forearm, wrist and hand pain I once had is now gone completely. Not to mention I am a much faster and more accurate typist.
I have a proper keyboard[1], thank you very much. It also destroys a Microsoft Sculpt in terms of ergonomics.

My grandma uses it for Internet shopping, email via Mail app, and banking via an app. She no longer has a computer. The security model is much better for her.

Yeah I noticed this the other day. I couldn't believe the fonts looked so terrible. This is coming from a Fedora user where we typically put up with lots of complaints about fonts.
My 2c would be to have a special notation in your text notes that labels the data you want to study later. then just parse that and combined with anki's cards you can generate decks easily.
It's easy to write plugins for anki though. Anki's data is just stored in a sqlite db.

Each of these datasets can have their own options set. So yeah it's basically the same thing as btrfs?
Look at synthetic benchmarks of your chip and the MBP. It's night and day difference. I won't use a laptop to develop on either. It's too slow. (And the ergonomics are terrible anyways so a monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc are all necessary anyways)

I don't know. What is your reasoning? I don't really understand why you'd want to force people to upgrade HW when they don't need to.
Sounds like a move to sell more hardware. My pfsense barely does any crypto. This will push me over to openbsd.
I don't think that passing makes any sense on this kind of road. It's just bad for your wallet in both gas and maintenance on your vehicle and also it's bad for the environment.
The chief component in getting to one's destination is the traffic and the second one is number of lights you get stopped out. Since all the lights are timed to 40mph it doesn't make sense to go faster unless they re-engineer the road.
Generally any car that passes me will be stuck at the light ahead and if there is light traffic I will pass them because I have a rolling start and if there is heavy traffic it's all the same.
Staying to the right in this situation only makes sense if you're unable to accelerate at a reasonable speed or unable to go the speed limit at all.
So I can ruin my gas mileage slowing and stopping every time someone in front of me turns onto a side street or pulls out in front of me?

Generally its the middle lane I use, but sometimes it's even the left if some landscaping truck or cement mixed is in front of me dropping who knows what into the road.
