Jawa is the community-driven marketplace for gamers. We've been operating for a year, just raised seed financing, and are looking to hire a full-stack engineer to join our small team and scale up the platform.

We're a mostly-Typescript shop: our stack currently includes Next.js, React, MySQL, Express, and Heroku. There's a lot more to build, and we're looking for someone that's both pragmatic and interested in making opinionated architectural decisions. Bonus points if you're into gaming (or gaming PC hardware in particular)!

https://jawa.gg is the place for gamers to buy and sell PC parts. We're building a community-driven marketplace where great parts (and builds!) are sold at reasonable prices, without scalping.

We're currently in beta and have a super engaged community on Discord. These are early days, and we're looking for a frontend of full-stack developer to join our small team on a contract basis. As our first engineering hire you'd be working closely with the founders to make our site excellent for our users - especially custom PC builders.

Our tech stack includes React + Next.js on the frontend, and Node.js + Typescript + MySQL on the backend. Ideal candidates would have some experience with the frontend stack and enthusiasm for PC building and gaming. We're a fully-remote team and are keeping things lean right now, but if the fit is right we'd love for this to transition into a full-time position as the company grows.

Definitely - my favorite film camera was a Pen F half-frame with the big gothic "F" on the front. Old, but really compact (and worked well-enough with lens adapters, right until it got stolen a couple years back).

The feel of the thing definitely got me to buying the E-M5.

The database is pretty extensive, but you should only need to query it once to get what you need.
