Good luck, jere! Try reversing it by replacing the habit with exercise. Not only do you cut the alcohol, but you stay hydrated, lose weight, and sleep better!

Great point. As someone who was more of an introvert until recently, my relationships with professors and students helped propel me outside of my social fears. Both of those relationships are outstanding for future opportunities to any student that works for them.

How do you assume someone will "learn as slow as the rest of the class"? I am currently in college and while the pace is that of the slowest person it does not mean that you cannot learn more than them. Actually, I like going slower. It gives me more time to focus on my skill development and at the same time I can help my peers with their issues (which is great if I already overcame the same issue!). College has taught me to become more patient, to find love of others through knowledge, and to work hard.

Maybe it was a waste of time to you, but I hardly think that giving someone advice to skip college because YOU think its a waste of time is a bad decision. Are you sure you didn't miss a few things while you were there? Might want to reconsider.

There is a way that scientists have been able to analyze photos to discover the pulse of the person in it. Its very interesting, though I do not know the deeper details of it.

I am too lazy to find a link, if anyone else wants to share it that would be great.

No one can give you an honest answer because we do not know what type of resources all of your ideas will consume.

If you are really interested in learning, pick up a VPS. Running one is as easy as you WANT it to be. Configuring and managing your VPS optimally is dependent on your projects and your goals. It can get complex pretty fast, especially when you don't know what you are doing. After studying about them in my spare time I have learned how severely insecure most people allow themselves to be. Fair warning to you!

Create.

It takes knowledge to build correctly. By creating you will end up pushing yourself into a cycle of learning and production.

Your willpower will fuel your creation; harness it.

Never be ashamed to ask, be ashamed for not having the courage.

Great article. Sadly, I wish it wasn't focused on the gifted. I bet a lot of children suffer with existential depression and I also can imagine how hard it is to have to listen to the bullshit answers they will inevitably receive to their deep questions.

What is a 'Hacker'? 13 years ago

See Eric S. Raymond

If you put this in the beginning you no longer have to write an article about what a hacker is.

Not sure how it is in Russia, but in my experience the online degree programs are not respected in the United States.

Seems like everything is just blown up to me. Are someone's words making you feel bad? Give it back to them or stop your crying. Why bother whining about it publicly? If people don't want to stand up to a single man by themselves then do you really think ganging up on him will solve anything for them individually?
