why is it actually that SQL "re-emerged" as the transformation layer? I thought that it first shifted from SQL to Query Builders inside talend, matillion etc. Why now SQL again?

yes, we already have the far right in france and the netherlands calling for their own referendum, the EU can't risk losing these countries and others as well, so they are willing to go to great lengths to not give these countries more reasons to leave

8 vs 12 is a really big difference - especially with state of the art deep learning architectures. The problem isn't the size of the dataset but of the model. Large Convolutional Neural Networks often need the whole 12 GB VRAM of a Titan card for themselves and distributing over multiple cards/machines adds a lot of complexity.

Probably yes but I feel that general education is, especially in this community, a little undervalued. Democracy fundamentally depends on its population being educated and in more ways than just STEM. Better socioeconomic decisions are made if more voters are educated in areas other than programming (figuratively) and this is only achievable if this type of education is a viable path for young people, for example through tuition-free universities

I think colleges should educate people and not only train them for a job. This is only really viable with free education and much harder to do with the alternatives which are discussed right now.

Adoption could be slower than we think, but I don't think regulatory issues will be that big, the whole logistics industry will push it and many more. I also think that possible profits are the stronger incentive than preserving human labor
