Physicians are not scientists, they aren't supposed to make policy decisions.

It goes to show how few people understand what Science is and probably more dangerously that Medical is mistakenly thought as Science. (Medical is older than the scientific revolution,it's a hybrid of Tradition/Authority/Art/Science)

No Politicians framed the issue like this. Canceling school in 3 month bursts is a political move because it's much harder to tell a generation of parents their kids won't return to school for 2-3 years.

The problem with vertical integration is how fast you can be obsolete by competitors. You only need 1 competitor to make a better product and your internal Engineers are going to be begging for it.

Unlike Apple customers, the rest of the population is sensitive to performance and cost. If Google can't compete people move on.

Edit- Samsung is not a flagship company, their high pricing has nothing to do with performance. At best they are mid tier.

There is a strong debate to be made Biden is more fiscally right leaning than Trump. Where Trump was big into economic intervention (higher taxes through tariffs and SALT Deduction removal, higher deficit, new government spending projects, tax credits, free money, and restricting commerce on bump stocks).

The timing here is awfully Political.

Email is the tightest grip Google has on me. Maybe YouTube.

It's pretty easy to avoid Amazon if you are Frugal. Walmart online is cheaper.

I was listening to a Philosophy podcast and a philosopher noted that Artisans were different than merchants. It got me thinking. Are there examples of a solo founders/Engineers being able to make sales?

While I'm often praised for my Engineering abilities/content on my website, I've been unable to profit.

My service is (best in class) helpful to low income people and/or Time Poor people. I have struggled putting up a paywall and made a mere 1600$ in donations over 2 years. Prior to donations I made 1k/yr off book sales.

Any marketing people I hired failed to generate traffic, but I'm starting to consider I simply need sales.
