I have always used old.reddit on my phone. I use no other reddit client. Just checked it right now and it looks the same as always. If old.reddit.com goes, I'll definitely go too.

I support the protests so I'm trying to use reddit less for news and stuff. But for certain needs I'd scour forums for, since those forums no longer exist, I kind of need to check reddit for some stuff. Things related to my health and such.

I won't use any names but Smusshia helped get Donald Duck elected. What could Chmina do? How could they erode our society? The implications are enormous, and not even theoretical by this point. A lot of societal attack on us has already been documented.

I spent 8 years trying to be a professional musician, running my own music project. I gave up opportunities, travel, etc. for it. Lived with family a lot of those years to save money for the studio, and to work part time so I could write songs and make demos. I made some things I'm really proud of. But it didn't pick up, I didn't get signed, I made no money from it and lost many thousands of dollars from it, etc.

By the end I was completely burned out, and saw I gave up most of my 20s for that. If I were to go back I wouldn't change anything. I gave it my best shot. But like OP here, I am burned out and need to just enjoy life now.

I'm still very much a fan of reddit. But then again I never ever ever go to r/all. I don't go to r/politics. So maybe it is a shitshow. But yeah the subreddits I like to visit are still high quality and give me good information.

I also feel like reddit has become legitimized as a source of new information. Especially ever since Obama did an AMA. I seem to find up to date information there that news outlets/journals haven't caught up with yet.

And it's been good that they've taken down some really messed up racism subreddits. It's bad that they for some reason let anti-white hate subreddits thrive and develop. Still not cool with that one. But all in all, I'll take it.
