I've watched Netflix movies with no issues. The max session time I've ever done in VR is about 4 hours but that was playing a game and had no issues except the imprint from the headset in my forehead... I definitely know people that can't play at all without feeling sick though so ymmv.

InsideEVs just released an article this morning about how many people plan on following through with their reservations. According to the study done by Recurrent Auto, about 75% plan on sticking with their reservation. That's a lot of trucks to sell with the 1.5 million reservations.

I'm basically in the same boat. Every time I read something like this it is pretty discouraging. I'm a manager in an IT department and have dabbled in programming and really enjoyed it, but I feel like no matter what I'll never be good enough to get a job doing it because I didn't have opportunities to do it when I was young. Bummer.

Yeah, after having kids I would way rather make less money and work from home. Right now I'm wasting an hour a day that I should be spending with my girls before they are old enough to go to school. It's heartbreaking.

As an American who is currently working on transitioning out of IT management into software development, this post and these comments have really made me feel like it’s not possible. This is quite the blow as I have been very much enjoying learning these new skills. Am I wasting my time?

My state school (Washington State) nearly doubled while I was attending. Of course I was there between 2009 and 2013 which is where all colleges really jacked their prices up.

Is it poisoning as in you are going to die? No. But I took so many edibles one time that I was legit hallucinating and was convinced I did permanent brain damage. It was scary. I can easily see why people would go to the hospital if they didn't realize they ate edibles.

If your time horizon is long enough (which is it because you are young) just put your money in the stock market. It will climb over 20 years even if there are some down years. It's not a get rich quick scheme but its an easy way to acquire wealth over time. It has served me really well and I'm in my early 30's.

It's amazing that we don't have a middle ground party. The compromise between left and right since they can't compromise on their own.

Defense money is budgeted year over year. You could give this stimulus payments to people for two maybe three months and would have spent the defense budget for a year, so now where is the money going to come from?

The police departments can get 100 billion a year and it won't matter when the DA just lets criminals walk after they are arrested. I think that is one of the main factors in the rise of crime and violence. The Waukesha tragedy is a good example of this.

I'm as red blooded American as they come but I believe we are on a downward slide with little to no hope for recovery. Outside sources have so successfully utilized technology to drive a wedge between two sides the country that I don't see how it can ever be brought back together. The wedge pushes further every single day it seems like.

In my local school district there is a dedicated Arts School (Art, Music, Dance, etc.) for grades 6-12 and a dedicated STEM school for grades 6-12. Kids within the district have to apply to get accepted to either of them otherwise they just go to the traditional middle/high schools.

A neighboring district has a similar school geared towards Healthcare.

These schools obviously teach all necessary subjects but have more advanced classes geared towards those subjects than your average school would have.

Fully vaccinated people still get hospitalized and some times die. If you are old or have comorbidity, even the vaccine won't save you. We need to get off this vaccine obsession and start working on early treatments.
