It seems like they're trying to replicate the Wish advertising strategy.

Show you ads with relevant products on Instagram/Facebook that all link to different products on Etsy. They probably need more sellers in order to fill the ads with relevant enough products.

It's Adventure Time 12 years ago

I cant believe no one mentioned Rick and Morty. Co-created by the creator of Adventure Time and Community.

The main character is a hacker scientist who with his grandson fight aliens, explore parallel dimensions and save the world from destruction!

I know this is a nit-picky thing but why does this app require 6.1 or later? Thats a funny move. 6.0 I can understand.

What functionality could they have in 6.1 that made them have to require it?

This works because you knew him and played regularly. In Leauge most of the time you are playing with strangers and it's harder to behave like that. Most people wont know you are joking.

A vile (friendly) player can still exist. In your own private group chats you can say what you please. And if you are playing in an arranged 5 team you are unlikely to report your own team.

It's great.I'm not in the Xbox scene anymore but there is a huge lack in Xbox360 software that is not Windows only.

A lot of the use of tools like this comes from users who have "jailbroken" their console and can freely move games on and off the hdd. As most things are signed to the console or profile.

Out of curiosity what prompted you to make this? Was it just about learning QT or did you feel there was a need for multiplatform FATX explorer?

this is great! I was in the process of using Crittercism's forum when they told me it was being deprecated in favour of ZenDesk. I looked at zendesk didn't like it compared to UserVoice and went with that instead. I'm happy they chose Uservoice instead!

I'm currently using both Crittercism and Uservoice so it will be great to bring them together!

This is also another reason why developers choose to go the freemium route.

With apps that have their own backend its trivial to verify receipts with your server. It's hard(impossible?) to verify actual purchases with your server but In App purchases can easily be verified.

Usenet is under attack.

A lot of TV/Movie companies are starting to send DMCA requests to usenet providers.

The other day SabMini a iOS client for sabnzbd had to remove support for sickbeard(a PVR for usenet)

I think we are seeing the systematic destruction of Usenet.

Usenet won't go away but just become harder. Releases won't be named correctly to avoid getting DMCA notices.

Looks like someone broke the first rule of Usenet...

I built an iOS app for my school (Simon Fraser University) that allowed students to view/share their schedule with their friends. One of the most frequent questions I get is if the school has tried to shut me down and it is exactly for reasons like this that other students don't build more apps like this.

We have the same student system that UCF uses. It's horrible and slow. Tools like this make it a little bit more manageable.

I am surprised more schools dont have simple API's that allow students to build services on top of them.
