I'm not fully up to scratch with the latest AWS tactics, but to me, this seems like another way to get people to move to their platform and then charge for bandwidth at a later date, ultimately trapping their consumers.
Also, this whole post just felt like a brag, i'm not surprised it barely got any upvotes

I spent around $5 setting up a small bot and sending a few requests through the Claude API.
For those who use Claude (or similar LLM APIs) on a daily basis, what does your monthly spend look like in practice? And do you feel the cost is justified by the value you’re getting?
I never make any small talk because I feel like I don't have anything to say or ask.
How do you know what to say? How do you make the conversation flow and not end awkwardly?
Would love to give it a try by browsing public repos without the need to sign in and grant all those permissions
