Not sure if that's a good example. They bought a competitor so they could sell alcohol under its name.
Really? Here’s an article from one of switzerland’s biggest newspapers: https://www.tagesanzeiger.ch/ein-supraleiter-fuer-den-alltag...
Are you aware what happened in the last months? You should check the rates again.
No one expects Switzerland to pick a side. They just expect their arms industry to honor their agreements and their government to be fiscally responsible and sell their retired gear back to it's manufacturers.
Can you provide a link which proves that switzerland has an obligation to sell its under licence in switzerland produced tanks which still are part of its military (reserve) to anyone? Thanks.
I recently switched to an iphone, the state of PWAs on iOS is just pathetic. While I don‘t care about web push, I‘m really glad they‘re trying to make some progress in this area.
What is Proton exactly? I thought it was an enhanced WINE.
His protest probably didn't cause collateral damage to innocent people.
Or too many nerdy men who have a hard time coming close to women. Probably both.
You expect resistance from Apple? To me it sounds exactly like what they are trying to push.
That's not at all what I think of when I hear the words 'replaceable battery'. Too bad.
Depends on the country, where I live there is no direct debit (Banks have just now begun to replace the old cards ) so most people use credit cards to buy stuff online.
Humans changed by proximity to animals ;)
That's the thing which keeps me from buying a new notebook. :( Everything else I care about is on par with intel macbooks but the touchpad is too important.
And they stopped doing that because it wasn't maintainable.
And some people take the train instead of a plane. And I did even in the US.
The only way of MAYBE having a consistent experience on linux is to only use applications written for the DE of your choice isn't it? Use firefox on KDE and the consistency is already gone.
In Switzerland there's http://smartvote.ch. It's not exactly what you're describing but close.
How did you get that from the article? The agreements in place already allow immigration from eu countries, not a lot would have changed in this regard. The main problem is the further erosion of swiss direct democratic rights and sovereignty.
Oh, they are. Maybe not in the information from the US but definitely in the information from swiss banks, there's a similar program in place.
In the west, we are conditioned from an early age to believe that "diamonds are a girl's best friend", that women should accept nothing less that a "real" diamond, and that men should spend some silly multiple of their salary when buying such a diamond.
In the west, the US or the anglosphere? Because I only know this from Hollywood movies.
Are we destroying the biggest ecosystem on the planet or are we not? That's the only question that matters everything else is just nitpicking.
Maybe I'm wrong but I thought that Tesla actually never used ads. Then again with the PR they generate there's just no need to.
I also get all my bills digitally
So do I. In Switzerland.
I agree that the new style looks a lot better, however I'm not comparing their new site to the old one but to actually usable news sites. Maybe I used the wrong word, what's awful is the layout. I want information not one row of pictures which take up half my screen.
Things were better when the Operating System decided how a gui should look and work. I just cannot comprehend how anybody could come up with something like the redesign of https://www.tagesschau.de/ which was launched this week.
Yes, it's supposed to be a news site.
You mean 'The Big Short', Moneyball is about baseball. ;)
So there's no way to move your data to another instance?
You know, I don't care about the changes to the privacy policy at all. I tried to move to an alternative messenger for years but I was never able to convince enough people. Now that there's enough momentum I tried again and every person I care about was willing to move. Let's see if we can use the network effect for our own good for once.
