What if you want to write "Dijkstra"?

I have the same problem with a Thinkpad x240. Never managed to figure it out, instead I just use suspend which works reliably.

Isn't it kind of a fake olive branch / placebo that airplanes have reclining seats anyway? It gives a little extra space to the recliner but takes space away from the person sitting behind, so to reclaim it they need to recline their seat and so on. If everybody reclines then everybody ends up with the same amount of space and no one is better off, except maybe the people in the front or back rows.

It's definitely clunky, but you might like to know that you can tag more than one thing at once:

Select more than one book, right click -> Edit metadata -> Edit metadata in bulk

Pressing Ctrl+<up arrow> jumps up an entire function, because Emacs (in Linux) is cognizant of the barriers of a function. Emacs on Mac OS X doesn't, and it's the #1 productivity killer for me when coding.

I wonder if it was around this time when people wisened up to disabling zone-transfer requests. Tangentially, I took part in a CTF recently and one of the tasks was to get the list of hosts from a domain. The hint was "My sword. My bow. And my Axfr!"

Not disagreeing with you, just wanted to say in case you didn't know: shift-insert has the same effect and doesn't require reaching for the mouse.
