Everyone has a different take on story points, but the original idea was for them to record _effort_, not value.. more story points are actually worse. Delivered value is better. So digging a ditch and filling it in would get a bunch of story points but have zero value.

But managers want to look at the numbers they have, which is story points.

You know, maybe it's OK to sound stupid sometimes. You're likely to learn more if you're more willing to make mistakes.

It is possible to be involved in something for various reasons, but it does not mean that one should willingly forego a benefit. "In it for the money" implies that the primary motivation is high pay, whereas "not in it for the money" indicates a strong preference for the type of work and a willingness to accept lower pay if market rates were to decrease.

I can think of several examples.

Verbal abuse, childhood bullying, body shaming, cyberbullying, workplace harassment are all abusive and normal and accepted in many cultures.
