Just wanted to give another opinion on this topic because I think people are being overly nostalgic about radio in this thread: For as long as I can remember I have hated radio with a passion. The constant interruption of the occasional good song, the endless nonsense-talking hosts, the unfunny jokes, the annoying ads, the same songs over and over, etc. I hate radio and I’m glad it’s gone. I don’t miss it at all! Cheers A millennial

Calling base64 encoding obfuscation
I was expecting some cool js deobfuscation tricks, so to put nicely I’ll just say that my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
Is it possible to change the maps' colors and contrasts now? Last time I checked I thought the lower contrast and washed-out colors compared to Organic Maps were a poor choice so I switched back to OM.
AA scraped from the poor and resells books which are already free. Now AA is rich and wants to get richer. If you don't think that is true, consider their complete lack of financial transparency.
They try hard to pretend otherwise, but AA is a for-profit enterprise.
This probably won't surprise you, but most of the time, the only variable psychologists measure during initial patient assessment is penis size, because it explains nearly every male behavior there is.
Oh how conveniently this would fit into your worldview ;)
If you had read the actual study, you would have noticed this paragraph:
the odds of owning a gun (any gun or a military-style rifle) are lower for men who are more dissatisfied with the size of their penises. In fact, each one-unit increase in penis size dissatisfaction reduces the odds of owning any gun by 11% (OR = 0.89, p < .05) and the odds of owning a military-style rifle by 20% (OR = .80, p < .01). According to Model 2 of Table 5, each one-unit increase in penis size dissatisfaction also reduces the expected count of total guns owned by 11% (IRR = 0.89, p < .01). Across outcomes, we failed to observe any associations between penis enlargement and gun ownership.
100% agree. The porn industry's harms to society cannot be overstated.
I'm sure we humans can do better than "everyone who disagrees with me politically is evil"
if you think that blusky and mastodon is less censored than X, then I'd say that we do not live in the same world indeed
they used to write fantastical and very informative articles
Still a very good website
These are indeed quite controversial opinions on ars.
What kind of logic is this? Apply this to any other march for something and you’ll see that this makes no sense at all.
Because ever having met Epstein invalidates all your success and everything you have built?
Dang, even rapid7 is using AI to write articles now.
I don't think your snarky comment is productive. Reddit seems like a more appropriate platform for it.
cool story bro
Agreed. I’m not at all surprised that they are the main contributor to anubis, which is also very obnoxious.
Please re-read the comment by mixxit. He mentioned systemd as just one example of why Linux isn’t there yet and no amount of gaslighting and pretending it ain’t so is going to change that.
It seems HN has decided to bury their heads in the sand and pretend it’s already great.
Absolutely don’t use Ubuntu LTS when you’re new (or old) to Linux.
Thank you for being honest. This is exactly my experience as well.
a 10-30% perf drop is good and is a reasonable tradeoff to consider
You are either trolling or completely out of your mind. You simply cannot be serious when saying stuff like this.
The start menu bug is one of the few problems that windows has, compare that to Linux.
Completely insane.
Thank you. I didn't go to film school but I still can easily tell if a TV has those "enhancements" turned on. It's horrible and quite weird to me that most people don't seem to realize that something is off when watching movies.
That's a weird thing to be so insistent on defending.
This is by far the worst defense I have ever read for why wikipedia needs a $200m budget.
They won’t do that. How else are they supposed to sell these premium subscriptions?
Does the goodness of a shadow library depend on who uses it?
no one cares about your shitty blog lol
