I was also sad to hear about how much RNG is in the game, that is a detractor to what seems like a well put together experience otherwise. If you wanted to give something else a try, and have a PC, I made a first-person puzzle game that's (hopefully) more akin to Antichamber and the puzzle bits of Outer Wilds, called Chroma Zero. There's a demo on steam if you just want to dip your toe in. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3121470/Chroma_Zero/

Oh hey you’re here! I love this series. Warrier was my favorite so far but they’ve all been excellent!

For the original commenter, while you can’t exactly just flash new roms to play a new cps1 game, there is a darksoft kit that comes out very soon, and lets you run roms off an sd card. It replaces your original B board - so it’s sort of like a flash-cart for your base A motherboard. Check it out! It also runs cps1.5 games in qsound.

If you are interested in original arcade hardware, and want to learning about superguns or cabinets to play, I’m happy to point you in the right direction. One marvelous recent phenomenon has been the cracking of many old security protection schemes and the resulting multis - similar to everdrives/flashcarts for consoles. For example you can have one Neo Geo multi-cart that loads the full library of Neo Geo games from an SD card. Same for CPS2 (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/CP_System_II), sega system16 (https://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=701), and many other arcade platforms. Sadly there is no HNG64 multi-cart but there aren’t that many games to collect if you like this platform specifically.

For me, and for many others I'd imagine, maximizing my credit-card-rewards does not trump having control over which account I'm using. Coin is better suited to my needs.
