Why are they laying off anyone when you got 500 million plus in pure profit. The tax system needs to be reworked to not incentivize layoffs. Major taxes should happen to support the well fair system in order to support people laid off. This is a stupid system we live in.

I will send every company I use a service my own TOS via email, they then consulted, if they break my TOS I can then take them to court. Problem solved.

Unfortunately I don't think nothing is more quick then developer time for money. Small projects can yield okay results but can also end up being time consuming.

This is one of the dumbest ideas ever. If you want good public transportation invest in high-speed rail, monorails, pretty much anything other then tunnels for cars.

This doesn't sounds like it has a product-market fit. I see myself doing the same thing, building products that might not have an audience. How many people came to you saying they wanted this, what problems does it solve. Why do you only support one database platform.

I would look for a product-market fit before building anything substantial, build a prototype, get feedback, get your first paying customer with a half-assed version, before you go all in.

In the meantime, get a job, maybe pivot your idea to something more valuable, get your website and marketing together on your idea and determine if there is a market before you build it out. Right now RiverDB only has 15 stars. I would say if it had 2000+ or more stars on Github you might have a winner. But unless you really get more traction, this might not be a good business idea.

I hope you can do both and find a business that fits you but in the meantime, getting a job isn't a loss, might bring needed stability to you and your fam.

I try not to use SSO accounts as much as possible, especially Facebook, since I have no idea what those accounts are sharing with the vendor. But I do find my self wishing for solution to remember which provide I used when I originally signed up if I did sign up with SSO.

I agree, lots of stupid things they never seem to fix on Mac OS, and every version of the system adds more useless cruft. Long for the days with a no-new-features release where they actually go and make things good.

I always hated that I can't put Firefox (engine) on the iOS, I bet a real Chrome or Firefox would easily outperform Safari. I don't even know anyone with a Mac that uses Safari because it is not as good as other browsers.

The testing and the amount of loops you have to go through to get a tech job has gotten to the point of lunacy. It seems to me the only point of these things is to weed out people, as none of these things will determine the effectiveness and ability to do ones job in the end.
