Not sure why you are being downvoted but I agree with you. I wouldn't mind if the pro version was for the assorted "addon" packs and I'd definitely contribute to the project even without using it ever, but making it the pro having a different set of icons from the free one is kinda chilling. Guess I will just stick with Material Design Icons.

I use exactly 3 extensions and hardly EVER have more than 2 or 3 tabs opened. In this scenario, using Firefox over Chrome, at least on Linux, is gruesome. The startup time is terrible, the constant stuttering and delays opening things is terrible. I wish I was able to use Firefox, I tried many times, but the performance nowadays is just subpar.

Brazil also have compulsory votes with fines. Fines are low but are a pain in the ass to pay. Also if you don't vote you cannot get some documents (passports, etc) and you can't take any job in the government. Voting booths are abundant and it's always holidays tho. If for some reason you can't vote you have to justify to the "voting justice"-related thingy. Usually not a big deal.

I use Ansible to install all my desktop basically. This coupled with my dotfiles (that includes a bash for gnome configuration) makes my workstation ready in 15 minutes or so.

It doesn't matter what 'they said', if it was not 'said' in formal legal response. If you are subpoenaed, you don't go ahead and publish in your blog 'hey judge, I've done nothing', you hire a lawyer and do it via legal channels. Facebook/WhatsApp haven't done the legal work, thus, their answer amounts to nothing.

Font is actually pretty much straight forward nowadays with most distros. You just need to enable lcd rgb subpixel rendering and thats it.

I use the Croscore set of fonts, the ones based on the Arial/Times/Courier that Google uses on the Chromebook and for me, it looks even better than on Windows or OSX.

Put simply, they are in contempt of the court disregarding the subpoena. This, under Brazilian law, warrants the arrest.

They could fight the subpoena but decided to do nothing, so, I kinda agree with the court on this one.

Something that always kept me from even trying to learn Salt is the fact that it seems that you do almost all "role" developments out of /etc files and need root, etc to check it. Is it really the case or is there a way to develop and test your roles/"playbooks" as a user?

This is what I use to configure my Fedora workstation. It also has a few roles for other stuff and might seem a little confusing at first, but it's a good starting point, I guess.

I feel that Fedora is the closest of a rolling release without the hurdles involved into running a rolling release.

I've been using as my main OS for some time now, and with the exception of rpmfusion breakage, Fedora been quite stable.

So, I'd say it's close do OpenSUSE Tumbleweed, with some release cadence and support.

I actually just did interviews with Cloudflare and found it to be quite compreehensive, from the tech and personal stand point. People seems to know that they are doing and they all seem very chill and nice. Probably one of the best overall interviews I've done to date. The only problem was the delay between the interviews, they are huge! All in all, seems like a really nice company to work at.

Think it depends on your OS of choice. But if on Windows or Linux, i'd say the Lenovo X1 Carbon. Light, enough power and Linux friendly.

That's most likely the answer. I've been an expat from down the equator for more than 15 years and most US companies will not bother offering sponsorships for someone without some seniority already. Europe is more accepting regarding this.
