Thing is, the ones "exposing" them are already known as corrupt from multiple previous scandals, now all they did was get some people on camera which say that the other side is also corrupt. While none of this is good, I'd still vote for the ones supposedly somewhat corrupt instead of those known to be fully corrupt.

Exactly, now which one do you wanna be? The burned out ones but still working in SWE or the fired ones which in the long run converge to manual labor which AI can't do. Not to mention in SWE case the salaries would be pushed down to match cost of AI doing it.
Well I'm a parent and I disagree with you and agree with the other comments, what now?
Are you saying you are sane but you also believe secret orgs are funding to push psychedelics to people to make them insane? I have bad news then.
Might be you're just different than me, or might be that it's the type of nightclub. For me it needs to be something more ravey, like psytrance, DNB or hard techno. If I went to some lame commercial house nightclub, I'd have a bad time as well. But either way, no reason not to retry, life is an adventure. It beats sitting around and <doing the regular evening passtime stuff>.
I know, but what do I do about global warming and microplastics? Our leaders don't seem to care.
I will quote one of the nested comments which really hit the mark imo:
"""I think the definition of "ruin your life" is different now than it was in the 80s. Stakes are higher for kids now, and one little mistake can put you on the road to the have-nots instead of the haves.
Back when I was in high school, you could make mistakes and still end up successful. You could get a few B's in your grades, you could decide not to do so many sports and extracurriculars, you could get detention, you could even get in light trouble with the police for horsing around--and still make it into a good University and move on to a good career. I know because I made all of those mistakes. Plus, the consequences for being mediocre were not too severe. B students had community college, C and D students had decent jobs at the mill and the factory or could learn a trade, and so on.
Today, the bar for entry into a comfortable, middle class career is so high, that my kid needs to make zero mistakes. She has to get straight As, she has to stay out of any kind of trouble, she has to have the right polished "profile" for all the various career- and life-gatekeepers she will meet and need to pass. And if she doesn't pass the gatekeepers, where is she going to end up? There is no safety net and no real humane jobs left for lower-performers. Life is so much more bifurcated now, the kids know it, and they stress about not making a mis-step.
In the 80s I was competing with my small town. Now, kids are competing with the entire world."""
This nails it, the bar for "normal" life is really high, coupled with social media where every day you're bombarded with what you can achieve if you try really hard or pay enough money for it - traveling, having fun, luxury, having a perfect body and being envied by other people, etc. Being an overachiever try-hard is cool these days. Weed makes you a bit lazy and when you smoke you're not 100% super productive and you're not living your life to your "fullest potential".
Wow, so they actually got bullied into removing the voice? What a world. I actually liked that voice or at least didn't find any issue with it, they are all perky assistant type voices, but why not? Adding extra choices is fine if people want it, but removing the voice due to loud minority effect is just sad.
Do you have any relative with a mental illness? Because if you have that in your genes, marijuana may trigger full on psychosis so better to just avoid it and other psychedelics. My gf and I smoked a lot for 2 years due to her chronic pain (half a joint almost every evening), then she experienced psychosis, had to be institutionalized for a month, was recovering for half a year and she still needs to take anti-psychotics. Her grandmother had schizophrenia so it was in her genes. We didn't know it worked like that at the time.
Someone had to plant it, then water it and cultivate it, then harvest it, then package it, then ship it god knows how many miles, then the restaurant cooked it, prepared it, then they just threw it away. Then comes the trash processing chain.
How is that not a completely useless waste of energy, time, money and resources?
People are really blowing this covid lockdown stuff out of proportion, like seriously we had to be more indoors for a while, how is that stressful? Some children are literally living in a warzone and don't know if they will survive through the week, some live in poverty, some lose one of their parents or both.
My son is 6 so it falls neatly in that bracket and if the covid lockdown is the most stressful thing to happen in his childhood I will consider us extremely lucky.
And even so, cuddling more with parents? How will they ever recover?
I dunno, in my family it's been the opposite. We grew up poor (single mom with 3 kids) and have been raised to be frugal. So now even where all 3 of us have jobs with a decent salary we tend to spend very little. I've kind of learned to not worry about it and spend more nowadays, but for example when we go out to eat my younger brother still just orders water usually (alongside the most optimal quantity+taste/price food). No regrets tho, I feel like as a society as a whole we need to learn to live more frugally since the environment can't support all this unnecessary waste.
Can you elaborate on "never recovered fully to normal life". My wife went through her first episode psychosis and it's likely schizophrenia. Did they ever realize that the delusions weren't true? Do they still have unusual behavior? Are they on maintenance meds?
Sorry for the questions, I know there's a lot of stories the internet already, but I trust NH users opinions more than reddit and I'd really like an idea of how things might turn out in the long term.
My wife went through psychosis in december for the first time and is still recovering. As you can imagine it has been a rough few months and I really want to know, in your experience, do you go back to normal afterwards? How long does it take? She is on antipsychotics and is way out of the acute phase, but she still has unusual behaviour like last week she covered up the TV with a towel and says she doesn't like phones or screens around her. She is not as loving as she was, wants a lot of alone time and she has changed some habits for no apparent reason and when I ask her about it she just replies she likes it like that and to stop bugging her. I'd say overall she's like 80-90% back to her old self but still has some weird changes to her personality. Does that fade as well or is this just the way she will be now?
Something like a mix of base building and FPS action/horror. Like Fallout4 base building with STALKER athmosphere, during the day you would explore and gather useful materials then come back to the base before nightfall and put those resources into upgrading the base for defenses, like walls and turrets, then at night there would be an (increasingly difficult) assault on your base. You find the survivors and get them to join your base, they also give you quests and such. You'd also fight during the night along with your base dwellers, as an FPS action. I can elaborate more if interested.
Then again i had exactly this in mind and in OP tasks i did repeat a number here and there.
Gigantic radio waves? Couldn't it be some alien species broadcasting it with advanced tech over millions of years?
Is that the narrative being spread in Russia?
Do you know if the immune response from the vaccine also causes that damage or not?
Prove it.
I just got the booster shot today, previous times I had a weird headache and a new vein (felt it pulsing, didn't have it before) popped up in the white part of my eye (it's still there after 6 months), second time I had minor heart palpitations the day after so I'm kinda worried this time. Would taking Aspirin help prevent any kind of weirdness like that? I need to know asap so I can take it before anything potentially starts happening.
Don't worry, I'm sure there will be a DISCLAIMER: Might cause joy, positive thinking, happiness and love for one another.
Be very careful with it.
Dota 2
Don't do that, highly addictive.
Amen. There's so much bashing going around but when i played it, it blew my mind, the setting and athmosphere is phenomenal, the soundtrack is insane and i just want more of it, thats my only issue. The main story should be longer.
Yes oh god, anytime i search for something simple in my own language i get tons of auto translated articles (likely with google translate, heh) which are completely botched with no useful info, just clickbait and jumbled sentences using as many keywords as possible. The spam content is killing the web.
Oh i remember as a kid it made sense, they didn't have that kind of relationship. Since his mom was a badass always fighting type, she didn't care about herself she just wanted John to live, but here she was calling him like "John, help me". While the real mom was just "Get out of the way" no BS type. And yeah like the other poster said, if it was T-1000 he wouldn't say get out of the way.
Is the candidate allowed to use google?
Just asking since it's a very easy task but I'd wanna doublecheck how to reverse a string in that language.
TBH i don't really exercise actively, i'll try and see how it goes.
When i got vaccinated with Moderna vaccine i had weird heart flutters every 10 minutes or so (one day after 2nd dose - from noon until evening). It wasn't painful or anything but it was very weird, sometimes it felt like heart skipping a beat and sometimes like doing a double or triple beat. I did get checked out but by the time i got to the doctor the whole thing was almost over, they hooked me up to those heart monitors for 15 minutes but had no "flutters" during that time. Doc said im young and my heart is fine and that was that. Next day i had some more in the morning but everything was fine afterwards and i had no problems since. I don't know if it falls under Myocarditis or not but i'm sure noone reported it anywhere.
Either way, i'm still gonna go for the booster shot soon since i'm scared of Covid more than the vaccine, but just wanted to point out it's not so black and white, the side effects are likely under reported since the incentive is to get as many people vaccinated as possible. Doing large scale analysis on faulty data is just as accurate as anecdotal evidence.
4. Keep track of everyone you speak to. Everyone. Write down what they mentioned they liked, who their family is, what matters to them.
Make sure to put that list on a wall somewhere in your room so visitors can see how much you care. It will be a nice conversation starter and not at all alarming.
