It took me ages that you mean a file called CONTRIBUTING at the root of your project repository. It just looked like you were shouting.
Where are you looking for internships? I know for a fact that the traditional big companies (Google, Facebook, Oracle, etc etc etc) in the Bay Area are throwing crazy money and benefits at interns.
You don't even have to be in the Bay Area. Up north, Microsoft. You can go abroad - in the UK Microsoft, Oracle, Google and Facebook are doing similar fantastic deals.
You can grab an internship at the moment paying over $6,000 a month, plus benefits.
