If it’s the same BB8 I had, there was a repo on GitHub that allowed you to control it from your computer via Bluetooth. Might be worth looking around if you want to bring it back to life

Then start your materialistic business end of your day.
Can you please elaborate on this?
Setup a better home gym so I can save time and not have excuses on off days.
Get my body into amazing shape. Already in progress with this but I need to adjust my diet a bit more and lift harder.
Stockpile cash through more aggressive savings.
My last place of employment took my referrals and treated them like garbage, including ghosting a former VP. I asked many times why they hadn’t contacted him and they ultimately pinned the blame on their contract recruiter. Also saw multiple engineer referrals get burned by our asinine hiring process. And this was a small startup that was desperate for more people.
This is so important. I got diagnosed with mild sleep apnea, and I was "only" waking up 5-10 times per hour. After getting situated with a CPAP, my mood and mental clarity has improved 3-5 fold. I had similar symptoms to OP - feeling like I was losing my memory and mental capabilities.
Curious where you work, so I can avoid it. I get my work done in <40 and while I’m not the world’s best engineer, my bosses have always been happy with my work and the value I’ve provided.
The half mutilated corgi/star abomination in the top left got me good lol
Thinking about this as well, especially as a parent. Dropping off my kids at school each day has become a major source of anxiety.
I don't have any advice, but you could checkout /r/amerexit [1] on reddit. Lots of info, resources, and people willing to help there.
Best of luck to you, and hope to hear what decision you land on.
Psychological distress, including depression, anxiety, worry, perceived stress, and loneliness, before COVID-19 infection was associated with an increased risk of long COVID, according to researchers at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Where does it say long covid isn’t real? Did you take 2 seconds to read the article you’re spamming?
Just had this discussion with my wife yesterday. Plumber sounds fine as well.

Looks like this[1] might be one example. They have a link to the code. Might be a good starting point for making your own custom game.
Maybe there's a repository somewhere with similar examples?

Right on. What percent of your portfolio is crypto?
What's your investment strategy, if you don't mind me asking?
As someone who just moved to a small town, I appreciate this insight. You've motivated me to take action. Thank you for sharing.
Honest question out of curiosity - why you aren't holding ETH if you think it's the next big thing?
Even easier, just apply to the same job an infinite number of times at the beginning of the game, and receive multiple paychecks per month.
My understanding is that he can still count these losses towards the cost basis of the stocks, so it's not like the money is gone - just absorbed into the capital gains that will be calculated when he does sell. And if he had sold these >= 30 days before the end of the year, he would have been able to claim the losses on this year's taxes.
Edit: all that to say, I agree that it's clickbait.
I don't have the LTE version, but thinking about getting one for the same strategy. In the meantime, I'm just hiding my phone in drawers/backpack etc to keep it hidden and within range of my watch.
I read a blog post [1] the other day about someone who was using their Apple Watch as their primary "smart" device. Aside from pictures (and maybe a few other features?) you can effectively have all of the utilities of a smart phone without the temptation to get sucked into the device. I've been slowly transitioning to this and have been enjoying it so far.
It doesn't really help with the notifications, but you can effectively cut out most of the noise via basic iPhone settings.

My kids play Minecraft on the switch (creative mode), and they absolutely love it. I think it's a bit addicting, but I don't mind since it's essentially virtual legos.
Man, this is me as well. I DREAD the weekends cause I don't know what to do with myself. I sit around feeling anxious and half-depressed, and my mind runs in circles. I'm typically excited for Monday so I can get back to work and distract myself from whatever is going on inside my head.
Similar realization here. Just can't get myself off the damn thing - doesn't seem to matter what I'm using it for. Hopefully the more productive route works for you!
Gah, I need to do this so bad. Lately I've admitted to myself that I'm truly addicted to my phone. I go through phases of blocking safari, deleting all my non-essential apps, etc, but they always find a way to slowly creep back into my life ("5 minutes of reddit won't hurt while my kids are playing on their own...."). I'm realizing that I am just one of those people who can't handle even having it as an option. Thanks for inspiring me to take the next step.
This worked on our (then) 5 year old, who was shy on the soccer field but kicked it up a notch when we told her to be a dinosaur. Of course, this also resulted in her running around with t-rex arms and baring her teeth, so I guess you have to be careful which alter ego you adopt.
Genius, love it.
That was a great read - thanks for sharing!
Best places to work surveys are garbage. Your experience isn't matching what others might feel at the company. It's probably just a bad fit, which is okay.
Keep building experience, but start studying and applying for other jobs.
Sorry friend. I don't have any advice, other than it sounds like it's time for a new job. There are places that will treat you better out there. Maybe put together a side project to learn a new technology that will make you more employable?
Ooof, that sounds awful.
Don't worry, there's no way you're a shittier developer than me. Maybe we should form a club.
