Multitouch gestures don't work on the original iPad, even though they worked for developers on iOS 4.

I guess this is either to sell more iPad 2s, or because the performance when switching apps is slower (it is), which makes the app switching gesture worse.

Either way it's quite a dubious decision IMO. iOS 5 is all about being able to do more with the iPad. I've been using it a lot while writing my dissertation, and the main issue is how slow it is to switch between safari/iBooks and the writing app. The horizontal tabs in safari are a great improvement in this sense.

While I was watching, it felt slightly too fast.

I think editing less, leaving it at a steady pace (say 1 second per week, regardless of the amount of changes) would have given it another dimension. A data-dense rhythm.

This is ridiculous. I get the International Herald Tribune delivered to my door in London for £0.53 a day. Same goes for the guardian, with subscriptions under a pound a day. Yes, people will pay for convenience, but this is not a competitive offer at all!

I know there is a program that tracks how much time you spend on each website, application, etc.. I tried googling but can't find it now, I'm sure someone will remember if you think it's helpful?

You install it (mac and win) and then could log into a control panel with all that info, updated to the minute!

There were actually 3 comments for london, and I like that feature. Maybe it could be improved by asking something more specific ("is it really not raining right now? wow!").

I needs something really good to beat the simplicity of just checking that beautiful dashboard widget..

I also think the layout needs work: why is london the biggest thing? the "wind/humidity" is actually quite small compared to the rest of the interface (smaller than the blue "use fahrenheit" link!), some icons would definitely help, etc..

Still I like the comments idea best out of those things. And the geolocation is also a clear winner!

Having studied in Portugal, Sweden and UK (London), I'd say Sweden fits your requirements pretty well.

There are no tuition fees, and the level of the universities is pretty good. In technology you might want to look into KTH - Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan - which is great.

Student housing is pretty cheap: I paid less than $400/month for a student ensuite room with shared kitchen, and 10/10Mbps internet ( www.sssb.se ).

I'm sure if you look around you'll find people praising the swedish education system etc.. But as a foreigner I must warn you that it's pretty tough to get a job; speaking swedish will help a lot!

Everybody speaks english and they usually have good programmes to learn swedish. Furthermore I'm sure you'd be able to find Masters programmes in english.
