Seems like a fun guessing game, but the UI wasn't intuitive. I don't know if my first guess was correct, I thought for a while I was supposed to interact with the gray boxes, etc. I'd recommend having some non-dev friends play with it and provide feedback.

So many posts on HN are met with skepticism, pessimism, or just an overall negative tone.
Being analytical / skeptical attitude is fine, but many of the messages on here could be delivered with more tact. I would never post a Show HN, for example - the criticism is generally useful, but folks sure like to ruthlessly gut each other while providing the critique. I try to never forget that each "Show HN" was probably like 6+ months of blood/sweat/tears, regardless of quality.
Not senior, but junior...
I recently started Web Development (well, it's been almost a year now). I am technically in a 'Junior' position, but I've read articles stating that it's only detrimental to list yourself as a Junior.
What are your thoughts? Am I still a Junior after a year? Should I keep the "Junior" label on my resume/linkedin if I'm still a Junior?

I think you're right that it's a filter in favor of people who are willing to waste more time for their employer. I don't think it's unfair, just a bad hiring practice.
Be curious to see numbers on burn-out rates between people who do practice leetcode to get hired and people who don't bother with it.

Interesting thought that audio clips (rather than a comment in text format) may remove some of the anonymity in social media situations, which would hopefully lead to slightly more civil discussions and a less toxic environment overall.
Is there limit on audio clip duration? Any controls on decibel level? I would hate if one clip ended up being like 4x louder than the rest out of nowhere.
Last item that bugs me in terms of social media audio -- Do you have any autoplay enabled? I truly hate when I unmute a single video in a newsfeed, which then unmutes all videos in the newsfeed and proceeds to auto-play them when I start scrolling again -- very, very frustrating (happens on Insta and Google News iirc)

Company I'm with uses it and has had almost no issues except for a special circumstance when we merged with another small company. That was difficult to clear up, but everything else has been smooth.
My company loves Gusto. And personally, it's the best payroll experience I've had.

* Create reminders with Google Assistant probably half a dozen times a day for the last 2-3 years. This is, by far, the most meaningful feature for me. My productivity has most certainly seen a positive impact from the use of Reminders
* Use the "Goodnight" feature to play crickets at bedtime which is a lifesaver because of my tinnitus
* Ask it for the weather quite frequently
* Timers / Alarm clocks (ripped from other comment)
Aside from those specific features, I find anything else to be more burdensome than the traditional routes

"We take care of it." message at the end is a bit off grammatically. You could try "We'll take it from here." or "We've got you covered.", or just "Order received!" to clarify the message.
I think that most fiction authors probably consider their work a form of art. Creative control and self-expression are probably the main reasons. I've considered co-writing a scifi with my little brother as we're very like-minded in that space, but I am not likely to ever consider anyone else - I'm not interested in just producing something, I want to use my creativity to make something unique.
Once you start outsourcing any part of your work, it's likely to become a product rather than art.

r/stopdrinking helped me quit. Every time I had the urge to drink, I'd read through posts or write my own.
I still hung out with my friends who drank, but I would always order/make coffee and they all respected that and never gave me any flak. Generally, it's suggested that you find a new group of friends. If your friends can't deal with you drinking non-alcohol, then find a new group.
Four years later, I'm still dry and still want to drink every day. It's easier, but the temptation is ever-present.

Not addressing the point of my comment here ^, but why didn't anyone else do it if it was feasible and possible? And how long would it have taken an agency like NASA to actually start and complete the project?
Keep in mind the Space Shuttle (a reusable rocket) had been flying for thirty years before Space X landed a Falcon 9.

Space X has done cool things but they are iterative developments. Well, everything in the human existence is an iterative development, so I don't understand what you're trying to say other than to downplay other peoples' accomplishments.

I'd be curious to know how many mg's an average sized magic mushroom contains. I've taken a stem and had an enjoyable couple hours. I've taken several mushrooms 3.5-7g and had a rather intense set of experiences that I'll never forget, along with some very dark and scary moments -- And I can see how these moments would permanently change someone (even a 'healthy' person).
Ultimately, how many mg's of psilocybin does an average magic mushroom contain? The very first line of text in a google search said 10mg psilocybin per 1g of mushroom. 35-70mg psilocybin for the two standard street dosages - so on the street, your minimum suggested dosage is, at minimum, like 40% stronger than this study looked into? Could make for some less than favorable experiences for people hearing about this 2nd hand and not looking into it.
I wonder if the researchers in this study had people consume mushrooms on an empty or full stomach, as well. Also makes a big difference in terms of intensity and duration (in my experience).
And like you mentioned, those in the study also had 1-on-1 support from a trained professional.. On the street, you've got your goofball friends and maybe one wise, old trip-sitter if you're lucky. And honestly, I'd prefer a seasoned trip-sitter whose taken the drug many times over a trained professional who has is much less likely to have that kind of firsthand experience. The company you keep can have just as much of an impact as the potency of the hallucinogen (again, in my experience).
The progress made on full self driving (FSD) has been quite transparent, at least compared to Theranos. I worked at Tesla from 2017 - 2019 and the quality of Enhanced Autopilot probably quadrupled in the that small amount of time. I left before being able to experience the progress made on FSD, unfortunately.
I agree that Elon's timeline's are absolute BS. My perspective on his timelines are that they are almost meant more for his employees (throughout all his companies) to try and shorten the time it takes to 'achieve the impossible'. For example, something that most industry folks would think will take 20-30 years (or is feasibly impossible ie. reusable rockets), Elon gives a 5 year timeline and his team actually gets it done in 10 -- still less time than anyone thought possible.
I'm excited to see what kind of progress is made on FSD once the DOJO supercomputer is built out and put to work (another item with an unrealistic timeline, I've no doubt).

Humidity could be a factor, unsure though. There are many more interactions on a cruise, social, physical, etc. You're picking up booze at one counter, then going to the food buffet next, then touching all the same rails on the boat as you walk to the pool area where people won't be masked when swimming, then going to a show, then the dinner hall, etc. Just more potential exposure points.
Cool concept! Keeping the selections to Yes / No is a good choice. Would you consider opening up a comments section after answering so people can discuss further?
Something I noticed is that the footer leaves the bottom of the page and comes up to around the middle of the page after submitting an answer. Plenty of SO solutions for that.

I read Skin in the Game. I know Nassim Taleb is extremely intelligent and his arguments are always strong. But he's such a self-aware a-hole that it negates his positive traits and I just have no interest in what he has to say. Wish he'd change his attitude, people would be more receptive.
Is there a way to subscribe to comments? I'd love to see the result of this idea but am not savvy enough to spin it up myself very easily
