First, think about how difficult, and time-consuming, it will be for others to digest and review 2500 new lines of code that sprung from someone else's mind.

I haven’t ever worked at big corp so maybe this kind of thinking is actually valuable there. But in most startups in my experience this mindset is wrong. You literally won’t have a job tomorrow (because your company will fold) if you don’t ship value-generating product yesterday. But you’re going to worry about how inconvenient it will be for some other developer to review your PR?

I found the same re: compressed stream, however I also found that hand optimizing the decompressed JSON made for significant performance improvements on underpowered devices (e.g. some old Android phone).

I don’t know, I kind of doubt our children will care. We don’t generally refer to specific historical courts and their rulings as “evil” or anything else — we don’t talk about them or think about them at all. Despite the outsized impacts they might have had!

People will definitely care about the state of their world, but the idea that they will lay the blame at this court’s feet, or this administration’s, or this congress’s? They’ll blame the people they dislike. That’s about it.

Is there strong evidence available that increased density negatively affects nearby housing prices? In my experience density can lead to a place being more desirable (by virtue of hosting more highly desirable amenities) so while I can imagine the correlation suggested, I can also imagine the opposite being true.
