This at least is still the case for iOS.

The objects could be manipulated with InterfaceBuilder and live tested.

Is this anything like the new live previews with Canvas? I've only ever done iOS development but if this is the case that is amazing.

Also curious about this. It's doubtful. Given the growing number of people coming from Apple it would be great if the DEs provided an option in settings to default to using ctrl or cmd. DEs already make similar accommodations for users coming from Windows. For instance, in KDE you can press Win+E (Explorer) and get the file manager.

Xcode is finicky enough on the Mac. My vote would be for Apple to focus on improving it on the one platform instead of trying to shoehorn it into iOS. Better yet, free us Swift/Cocoa/iOS developers to use whatever platform we choose.
