Exactly this. I grind on a massive codebase everyday and the time and risk involved in migrating to new tech would be far too great. Going home and spinning up a new project in some new language/framework is the only option.

Agreed, but every 2nd job ad requires knowledge of some new framework on the block. I feel like I need to stay current to be employable.

Much like any PaaS provider. Heroku, Openshift etc.

It's intention refers more to an easy-to-use, low overhead and already-written solution, because people either don't understand or don't want to invest the time anymore.
