Every paragraph has a flair of scientism and “technology will solve everything, don’t you worry.” While ignoring basic physical fact. ( like the intermittence of renewable. And the scarcity of material used in battery manufacturing )

Your source do talk about the introduction of tinned and canned meat.
I haven’t find ratio or quantity. But furthermore I find this bit problematic in the context of this conversation.
“ This period was, nutritionally speaking, an island in time; one that was created and subsequently squandered by economic and political forces”
In the light of this last paragraph, it seems incorrect to use this source to qualify the diet or the ( nebulous ) “past”. It seems to apply only for the Victorian era.
It’s satire right ?
Digression :
The Gillet jaune started this way. Very true. But also self organise to be something vastly different pretty quickly. Maybe 20 days into that months long movement ( it’s not officially over; like Korea war … )
You can also describe something outside of A & B and it will be taken into account.
Pretty repetitive thougt
The USA being wealthy seems like a weird idea from a lot of the USA territory.
See : MS, LA, AL and consort.
At some point you can’t ignore the division between the map and the territory.
At best the USA is a country, with rich people in it.
As opposed to say, Switzerland, a rich country.
I whole fully agree with you. That being said, this last sentence…
Someone needs to explain to the developing generation that this isnt the future.
Most crypto are running on Ethereum at this point. A lots of useless Bitcoin clone indeed.
But a lot is happening still. Heck, I think some of those chains even serve a actual purpose, without the computational issues. Crazy right ?
As for Bitcoin, I hope the money in it trickle down to actual useful things. But, trickling down. Well, we know how it goes .
Good point. Even reading the article I assumed that but at no point that gentleman mention consumption indeed.
If he concern about the “thin-air” aspect, someone has to tell him about the thin-air aspect of most financial things.
Or then they buy you and make you danse like the monkey you have always been.
Most cryptos as they are now are useless. Yes. The tech is not great and from a developer or entrepreneur standpoint it’s ... messy and hard to build on.
But what’s emerging now is faster, lighter, better documented, and you would not believe it but it’s true: some even serve a true purpose around the “trust-less” idea.
It’s around, deploying as we speak.
Same questions here. I’m not sure I would know where to start on those particular configs
Well said.
On the day job, I wish for the level of expression of a different paradigm.
I sigh at the entanglement of information that is presented to my kind.
And when comes the evening, I’m relying on cheap tricks and iterative steps because I’m fried and human.
That’s a bitter sweat thing, that you describe.
Long story short, yes.
I would be careful getting in and out of Schengen. That would probably work a couple of time. But immigration can refuse it without causes, too.
So, 8$ an hour?
True true. I stand corrected. GoT had the « super heroes » treatment when it come to merchandising. And yes it display all of that.
I still think Disney is the culprit. ( vs HBO on TV, but still, I would not be surprised if a happy meal with GoT theme existed )
Oh I’m sorry then, It’s irrelevant indeed. I assume R was anything except pornography.
I was thinking of France, where the national Electricity provider is rolling out « linky », a 900Mhz capable meter. My understanding is that the 900Mhz range is already in production for french meter since a while as well.
What about super basic internet and sms like applications ?
I thinking mostly on stuff build on scruttlebutt or Gemini.
The first one is build for on/off crappy connection. The second is basically gopher on steroid.
Any input would be welcome
This give me hope. I have been struggling with starting a small scale city wide mesh wifi... that shit is hard. I don’t need the bandwidth, just some connectivity. It’s pair really well with the bare bone internet that I would like to see back. ( HN being a fancy exemple of that )
We have the same where I grew up. Electricity is a national monopoly. Water was one under a national mandate of small provider until the early 2000.
Correct. But a movie about incest, rape or pedophilia would probably not quality.
« Oh you got a les cousins dangereux dolls honey. So cute »
What the fallacy for correlation is not causation? Because as far as I agree that porn is so widely accessible now, I’m not sure it’s in itself enough to explain why mainstream movies are so safe.
I would look toward spécialisation : yes. We’re talking exclusively about super hero action movies here. And even if the idea and the article really interested me: other movies exists. Some are horny as fuck; in 2021.
The article author mentioned Disney a few times; for once I think we can’t blame the military industrial complex but a entertainment company that is obsess with being us-white-middle-class family friendly.
So again, because I’m rambly, I would personally blame cultural aplanissement because of fear of loosing markets, than porn or 9/11.
And here I am, building tunnel under the moat, being cozy with the stakeholder in order to influence his decision and secure some sprints that make sense ( for my team, I absolutely don’t care about the product, it’s a lost cause behemoth, the product will be fine. )
I mean, the US was really close to just do nothing. And nazi support was pretty strong until late in the war.
Indeed, unless it’s core in own the runtime store state to manipulate xml it’s seems like something that should be a user module
My two last position were in team where all members have a technical background. Like, we just assume you can code or query whatever. Devs are not magical creature. Coding happen to be their main focus.
- A bunch of devs. - A BA exactly like you described. Usually 50% on one team. - QA lead, able to pull from the set of devs at will. Must have deep automation and QA skills. - A scrum person ( 20% on the team ) - a tech lead.
as someone who doesn't anthropomorphize them it's easy to simply not care whatsoever about their emotional state. It doesn't noticeably impact the quality of the meat
You haven’t kill much, didn’t you? Otherwise you will know that stress and the way you kill the creature change it’s taste. Depending on what you are killing, it can be a dramatic change.
Yeah and it’s actually decent.
That being said I don’t mind committing often. If I have a slew of small commits I squash them.
Since I will need to commit at some point, I rather do it incrementally.
