Why do cats knead? 3 years ago

Only tangentially related: when I was a kid we let a couple stray female dogs sleep in our garage during the winter. One of them was pregnant and ended up delivering like 11 puppies in our garage. Both the mother and the other stray dog began lactating and both dogs would breast-feed the puppies.

We gave away all the puppies around the neighborhood. We took one, so did our aunt and a family friend. It was an interesting experience to get to see how different dogs from the same litter and different environments grew up. When they would get together you could tell they remembered/knew each other. I still miss that dog - literally experienced his entire life :(

I think the problem is you'd have to put the laser system on the area you want destroyed. Lightning can really only kill someone or light stuff on fire - and we already have weapons that can achieve this more easily that mounting a laser system in person. So it doesn't look like this is really forming an effective weapon unless you can direct the lightning, ideally stealthily, to a third location. Maybe it could be mounted to a drone that flies over? I'm still having a hard time imagining a scenario where this provides new leverage.

In reality this is not much of a concern at ~100psi. The bigger concern is to make sure that you get a good clean glue seal at all of the joints. That is the most likely error and point of failure. Also, don't drop it.

I use firefox everyday at work and home and can't think of a single thing that 'needs' to be fixed from a user perspective. It loads up the internet and is fast. So I don't think defining Mozilla's vision as 'fix a bunch of random issues' is very wise. Gnome key-ring support and porting to rust? How is that going to grow the user base?

Write a simple USB driver for interacting with some arduino widget. I'm talking actual USB not serial emulation. For instance, when you plug in some microcontroller/arduino with a small LCD screen you can `echo Hello World > /dev/my_lcd_screen` and it will appear.

It's the opposite for me personally. While I still wouldn't say I believe in a tangible god or higher power in any meaningful way, I have come to grow more of an interest and appreciation for religion, specifically christianity, as I've gotten older. I'll never be a bible freak but I would like to, one day, be able to say I honestly believe in (a) god. I'm not sure what that means exactly, and it could be wrong, but if it's all the same I'd much rather be the person that believes.

That's the thing. Tripping and self reflecting isn't edgy. It's been made to seem edgy. Someone died while doing drugs? Guess we should only sell beer at the psych office too so they can save us. And cut your self righteous bullshit about internet comments being uncalled for. Trauma and overcoming, i.e, the human experience, isn't new. These mega institutions sticking their whole fist up our ass is. I'm not against the idea that there needs to be 'the man'. But people are sold the idea that it's only ok or 'safe' to trip in a doctors office I think we need to get a grip. Might as well fuck in front of them too.

Or just do drugs by yourself or with friends and not around some stranger who guides you to state approved answers. Also do mushrooms, not this shit. Only reason they're pushing this brain-melting stuff is because they can make a buck.

'actually drugs are good now. Just give us your credit card and insurance info and step right this way'. Fuck off. Do drugs in the woods and sort your shit out like we've been doing for thousands of years. Get out of here nerd.

lol is that the best you got? I'm still waiting to hear how 'mean things' don't have to be true or atleast a generally agreed upon belief for subjective matters. I just spent 3 days in the woods too and if I had to guess you've not spent much time outdoors. I can tell because your views are completely artificial and detached.
