I used to enjoy watching smaller youtubers, but everytime I've given one a chance lately it has been unbearably clear that it was written by an llm. Supposedly people have ingested so much llm writing that they've naturally started writing in a similar style.
I moved to a corne a few years ago and loved it. Lately I was missing number-keys and had bought a 3d printer so tried making a custom-fit Charybdis inspired keyboard, but my lack of soldering skills lead to a keyboard that was unusable. For some reason I pivoted to a totem (which has fewer keys than my corne) but I absolutely love it so far. Still looking for a solution to gaming on it, but for daily work it's been phenomenal.
I also went down this path but for a different reason. Game streaming to my steam deck from my ultrawide monitor wasn't practical. The games on whales project is really good, it's not VM but rather containerized game sessions. It has numerous issues with podman sadly which is why I now use edvi and various scripts to just generate a fake monitor to stream.
Same issue here, wanted to give it a shot but ran into that error trying to load the model in lm studio.
Everytime I upload a package with altool, it makes a copy of the package somewhere in /var/folders. Luckily rebooting the computer cleans this up so it's not the issue you are running into, but if I'm not careful about rebooting the systems, our CI/CD stops working until I get physical access to the machines for a reboot.
It would be great if people actually did this, but in the US that is not the case. There are only so many people you can convince to move off of their main platform, and usually you have to meet people where they are.
I definitely fall into this trap sometimes. Oftentimes that simple order of ops swap will fix my issue, but when it doesn't, it's easy to get stuck in the "just one more change" mindset instead of taking a step back to re-assess.

Netflix is fine so long as you don't live in Japan (I wonder how other countries are). They only give Japanese subtitles for most anime here. Netflix produced anime do have a great breadth of options for subtitles and audio though.
Mostly valid. There are a few gotchas but for most use cases it is drop-in. I think I've run into issues with the podman socket, and there were some permissions problems I had getting games-on-whales setup in userspace.
Pretty sure it varies depending on where you live. iirc When I was in SF the tickets would get distributed ahead of time and the sweeper would follow within an hour or so. Once the sweeper went by you were free to re-park.
Librewolf is great, but from my experience the default settings are painful for daily use. My biggest gripe is the auto-clear cookies on restart. I understand why it could be useful to some users, but for most I doubt they'd want that in a daily browser. This makes Librewolf need tweaking just as much as Firefox does which kind of ruins the point of it in my experience. (although you are tweaking for usability rather than privacy)
I very recently was in the market for a 3d printer and was interested in making a voron or something diy, but even ordering parts from china it would've cost about double just getting a pre built with better software presets, less room for error, and about the same specs from a Chinese company. It's hard for me to comprehend how diy buying parts individually from AliExpress can be more expensive before shipping,but I guess that's what economics of scale get you.
The one thing I noticed when I was focusing on learning to write is that it helped me a lot with differentiating between similar characters when reading. I forget which ones now, but there are many characters that differ by a single radical and have similar meanings, knowing how to write each one helped me quite a bit there, but overall I rarely write anything other than my name and address now that I live in Japan.

I love helix, I just wish more editors had support for its bindings so I'm not as out of water when I have to use an IDE.
I feel its already hit the tipping point. I used to listen to mixes on youtube liberally, but I've now had to filter all searches to pre-2023 due to the flood of slop that's appeared. I used to finds loads of great up-coming musicians, but the amount of effort required to do so has increased considerably. I am tired of filtering out the slop.
I had a professor in college who would grade you down if there were any comments in your code.

I've been having trouble finding good ones in Tokyo. Blue Note Tokyo seems nice but is pricey and often sold out far in advance. I've seen some others I'd like to go to, but they double as cigar bars and my lungs don't enjoy smoke.

It made me nervous about their work culture so I decided not to continue the application process. I'm still a bit bummed about it since I would have loved to work in that space.
From my experience with yuzu and ryujinx, in order to exceed 30fps, most games need to be modded. Almost all popular games have a mod available though.
