You certainly shouldn't get indignant about it. It's one thing to express an dissenting opinion, but throwing a mini-temper tantrum on the Internet is a bit much. Not saying that's what you're up to, but I'm not as sure about OP.

Now it sounds like you're trying to claim that you weren't including American Air Force jets in the term "American jets". I'm not sure how anyone was supposed to know that. Without additional qualifications, "American jets" clearly includes Air Force jets. And, again, Air Force jets generally do not take off from air craft carriers, shiny or otherwise.

This doesn't sound right. The USAF is the largest air force in the world and, as far as I know, it has exactly 0 air craft carriers. I'm sure a well-placed coin could mess up a lot of machines. Can you back up anything you said with evidence?

Are we sure it's not prevalent? Concussions & CTE weren't widely reported in the NFL until recently. Googling for "rugby cte" turns up articles like this one (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/11857548/Rugby-u...), which suggest that it might be more of a problem than you're implying. It's even a problem in non-American football/soccer (source: http://www.businessinsider.com/soccer-heading-brain-damage-d...).

I'm not sure that Congressional term limits are necessarily a good thing. Lobbyists and other special interests don't have term limits. It seems to me that if we impose term limits on Congress members, then the lobbyists will be the ones with the most experience drafting and passing legislation. I'm all for limiting the influence of money in politics and making more Congress seats "vulnerable" (something like 90% of incumbents get re-elected), but when we find a good legislator I think we should be allowed to keep them.

You're misremembering. The first iPods did mount as a disk for general file storage. They weren't locked into iTunes either... they supported MP3, AAC, and several other formats.

I'm always blown away out how little cell phone manufacturers seem to listen to customer feedback. I don't care about my phone being paper thin. I'd guess most people don't either.

We can only guess based on what we hear. Cell phone manufacturers have a lot more data than we do and they keep going for thinness, so I have to imagine there's a demand for it.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that most consumers prefer battery life to thinness in surveys and polls but actually wind up buying the thinner phone when presented with actual hardware. Thinness is easy to see. If you're comparing phones in a Best Buy, the thinner one might feel more modern and impressive. Battery life is a hard feature to demo in that environment.

In other words, maybe the average person only wants battery life in the abstract, but opts for thinness when making a purchase.
