Security is not black and white, same goes for agents that are malicious, if you’re protected from script kiddies by changing your ssh port and adding fail2van then it’s a net positive any way you look at it. It’s important to be aware of course that you’ll need to go a step further if you want to protect from more competent attackers, but what percentage of us will be a target of one of those.

Completely agree, tbh both decisions (sanctions and no sanctions) have certain bad implications. But imho sanctions are much more dangerous in the long run for the US foreign policy.

I dunno, it literally got me to a 180k salary (Eastern Europe based so astronomical) just by me having a profile there. I didn’t have to find a job since 2015 thanks to it. You might argue that the feed is shit, but to me it’s normal human behavior trying to stand out and abusing everything that you can (including feed algos), so I just don’t look at it.

Well you used a word that is crucial imho, roots, means where you come from, origins. I feel like I tend to have libertarian views regarding choosing your identity, which includes calling yourself American, Austrian or whatever, ultimately it’s you that should make this decision. But just adding hyphens to people with historical significance that decided to move to a country that at the time gave them an economic incentive by having the best market feels dirty. Especially considering that most other countries don’t do this.

Serious question, how is she “-American”, she lived and worked in the States in the later part of her life, but her roots aren’t American?
