This talk was at the right level for me. Briefly it covers the goal, a broad list of implementations, and ultimately resolves to interesting questions currently being considered for Zig.
You made some pretty wild claims there, about the vegan community as a whole, and then about a typical vegan.
That book is nonsense, so I would disregard it in this context.
Programming language matters. You can't really achieve expertise with some in any amount of time. Choose a simple language at first. Also, I recommend learning more languages than just one. It gets easier the more you know.
You are asserting that he and other commenters to follow are taking "the most facile and ignorant reading of the article possible" on what grounds?
The opponent is software complexity. The task is iterate design, to create a simple solution. Money will be made or lost depending on whether the solution is both simple and useful enough.
Scrum, management, meetings distract at best, crush at worst, this critical creative process.
When was the last time a candidate represented your views?
Does voting matter any more?
Don't loop the 2 or you'll have the problem with alpha, as they show a few lines later.
Crossing the Z resolves the need to loop the 2.
probably intended "unneededly"?
I would guess most developers get "very far" without any of those. If you would please, perhaps give some examples to demonstrate what you mean?
As a rule of thumb, consider writing "I" instead of "we".
Market forces suck at valuing life.
Each country has to decide whether to shoulder the responsiblity of citizen health, or leave it to the market.
Science only disproves.
Developers often have bills to pay.
Griping should be weighted by how much money YOU have sent, no?
Disregard what others are doing. (Richard Feynman)
Imagine something that must be here 30 years from now. Invent the future. (Alan Kay)
Yes.
US spends millions on public image too, no?
In my experience, writing things down brings additional insight, more than an accident.
When I first heard Leslie Lamport say “If you think without writing, you only think you’re thinking.”, I thought it was a bit much, but now I suspect he's right.
--TL;DR-- Another government agency is more controlling with (mis)information, and the integrity and usefulness of news media declines further.
To my mind, Jim Henson's death and the resulting loss of his voice, puppet characters, and leadership, dealt a blow to Sesame Street from which it has not really recovered.
Seems deliberately deceitful.
After listing historical terrorist events and responses, Mr. Koppel tries to lump in our invasion of Iraq as an over-sized reaction to terrorism from 9/11 which happened eighteen months earlier.
The invasion of Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, it was about oil, as we all know now, after the propaganda has died down and people have generally gone back to sleep.
The loss of privacy and rights since then, and currently, is our govt misbehaving, and also has nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.
Two quibbles: 1. We aren't "giving up" liberty, it's being taken. 2. It isn't for the purpose "to fight terror".
Case in point, me.
I have done absolutely nothing wrong, but (symmetrically) 1. I am having my liberties taken. 2. I am not a terrorist in any sense of the word.
I suggest it is the odd framing the story that makes it seem irrational.
IMO, an interpreter is the best way to interface between two systems, to which you feed a string or a file of your "language". This is the most flexible, and can even be separated into different versions, without ever breaking existing clients, so long as specifying the version is possible in your "language".
Thus, I think what makes API's so difficult is that they roughly approximate an interpreter, and in a particularly inflexible way.
what, no mention of sexp's?
"I have to constantly hear my father shout what an idiot I am for quitting a high-paying job."
I think you should go somewhere else away from your father, whatever happens. You tried something and it didn't work. There's no reverse gear on life. Your dad reveals himself as someone who does not support you.

When I saw the you can "read books" to see examples that "In other worlds, North Korea's depiction of itself is strikingly close to, say, the American right wing's depiction of North Korea as a rogue state", I was curious which books those are.
By analogy, this is like writing up an essay "How 'Bob' sees himself, and why it matters", and concluding from your research that that poor sap Bob really does see himself as our US right-wingers do, and of course Bob is not around to confirm or deny the what is being claimed about how he thinks.
Opportunity for wary skepticism, yes?
What do you mean they didn't see it coming?
The Fed engineers this stuff.
