I have a surfaceBook- I never take off the keyboard. I would never use a touch-screen on a laptop as finger marks on the screen are not optimal for working.

I still run the Confluence 3.5 version (off the open net). The WYSIWYG runined Confy. It's an awesome, easy, fast wiki if you just stay at 3.5. And you edit it all in text.

I just gave us 4 more days, whew.

I really don't like the idea of ever putting all my passwords on a server that requires Agilebits to run it. You guys are a dev shop. Let users keep their passwords themselves and keep the stand-alone version (and extensions for it!) going with simple version upgrade fees.

Well I have to use chocolately with W10.. which is the same thing as HB for OSX. The LSW is a totally sep system in there- an install of python on LSW cannot work with the python installed in windows.

This is completley not true of Home Brew on OSX.

I don't understand what the author wants to actually do with his Mac other than screw around with VR.

The WSL is absolutely not integrated at all. It's pretty horrible.

What terminal do you use with it? Powershell? How do you cut and paste between terminals? Tabs? I found the only way to have a decent Unix terminal experience was to run an Xserver and connect to it from powershell.

Install git in WSL, clone down some projects and then access those files you just cloned down from Windows Explorer. Show the integration there...

The MacOS/Unix integration is light-years ahead of WSL- because the MacOS actually runs Unix, it's not just bolted on.

The people that claim that WSL is integrated with W10 can't have used it for more than 30 min. Otherwise they wouldn't comment about it.

I'm not sure about that. I got my wife the 1st gen MacBook, and I have a 2012 i5 11" MBA. I like the size of the Macbook, I don't mind the keyboard but it's very much laggier than the 2012 MBA. MUCH. Once you have something running it's ok, but sometimes starting an app like FF the MB will sit there for 5 sec with no feedback. I haven't seen Mac's do that since the PPC days.

I agree, a touch-screen on a 'pro' laptop (unless it's a 2-in-1) is useless.

Also: Please don't ever, ever touch my laptop's screen.

This is my case exactly. What else can it possibly do? It tells me the time, wiggles my wrist for all my appts, reminders, messages, slacks, and even answer phone calls. Oh and it tracks my pathetic exercise and motion as a bonus.

I can now leave my iPhone6 on my desk at work, and on a table and home and never have to carry it around with me (at those locations). It does exactly what a >Watch< should do. It's not a computer it's a 2nd screen for my phone.

Cable transmissions are not 'internet video' transmissions. They are different. Your cable tv is a 'video streaming service' too. Xfinity tv is probably a cable communications ie. cable tv, not an internet communication (i.e. streaming tv). It's how you define it to the FCC.

Wondering: how can you be 'not even a little attached to it' yet 'REALLY LIKE' it- which one is it?
