How do you use AI in your daily productivity/workflows?

I think you're oversimplifying it. Of course it provides something of value to some people - it pays drivers, riders get rides home from the airport, etc. I don't think he's saying that Uber has never provided anything of value at any point, but he's making the case that it's still a scam or a bubble, because the company isn't actually making money, it knows it, and has no plan to become profitable. Therefore, it's a net loss, and essentially scamming investors out of money, plus the other negatives he mentions. I'm sure some people made tons of money when the stock market crashed in 1929, that doesn't mean it wasn't catastrophic - just because some people benefited.

The same reason you can't start drilling for oil in your back yard. Negative externalities.

Depending on where you live, you can get around in NYC just by using the subway for ~$100/month, and it's subsidized by most employers.

"eating out" in New York does not mean going through a McDonalds drive through, like it does in most of the US.

True, but I'm talking about the data collected specifically. Not all of it is gained from tracking users across the internet - lots of it is just building a profile based on what you do on their site, and potentially their partners' sites. That data doesn't seem to me to be owned by the users. But I totally agree that what is an obvious problem is the following of users around the web.

I don't understand why this should be considered true. If I had a business and I jotted down in a notebook how rich I guessed each customer was as they walked in, based on things like what they're wearing and what they bought, and then used that to determine how rich I thought my average customer was, why would that information belong to anyone else but me?

This is pretty awesome work, but I just wanted to point out that Zoom doesn't actually require a green screen. If you uncheck the "I have a green screen" button, choosing your own virtual background still looks really good, although of course you're not going to get any crazy effects like this script adds.

I agree with you for 99% of businesses, except this is the exact situation where your argument doesn't apply.

The simple fact that, with my not-so-old iPhone 7, I cannot listen to wired headphones and also charge the device is ridiculous.
