in case you’re not being flippant and genuinely believe what you’re saying, it’s because we had only two viable candidates, one of whom should never have been legitimized. the line of thinking you present throws the baby out with the bathwater and represents a false choice. it comes across as saying that you’d rather do nothing than do something to—if not move things in the right direction—at least make it easier to permit the right direction in the future. no, instead you or others like you choose to exercise your cynical blend of moral superiority, demonstrating that you care more about your own sense of self worth than actually, you know, holding your nose and doing something. holders of that philosophy can’t seem to stand the smell of ‘imperfect’, regardless of how much damage they’ll allow to happen in the name of some false standard.

I could not agree more. Finding succinct written information on the internet feels more difficult every day.

Learn everything you can about cleaning/standardizing datasets and the boots-on-the-ground process of labeling data and training algorithms. These are fundamental, and are often overlooked and undervalued.

Good luck with the mirtazapine taper, and I mean that with all sincerity. I recently finished mine, and it’s been fascinating to watch the weight drop along with it. I’m glad that mirtazapine helps some people, but for me it was a poison that shocked my central nervous system with brutal discontinuation symptoms.

As someone who despises internal combustion engines I would love to get a battery-electric vehicle, but the delta between what I owe on the car (zero, fortunately)--and what I'd need to spend--would pay for gasoline for decades. I imagine other people feel similarly. Tax incentives help, but are a virtual drop in the gas tank. Still, should I need to replace my car, the only viable option for me is a BEV.

I’ve found that when it comes to their cars, people seem to get offended very easily (at least in my part of the U.S.).
