I would say this is fine, provided it’s in service of releasing value.
It’s when the invisible stuff becomes a chore, and blocks or slows down releasing value, such as worrying about micro services.
Exactly. Expect to see some kind of additional intervention such as forcing a certain number of chips that currently go to TSMC to go to Intel.
IMO this is too complicated. I think products like the Synology Disk Station strike a better balance between ownership of data and maintenance over time. Tailscale even publishes a client for Synology products.
