"My mum said that if I didn't drink enough milk then I'd only be good enough to play for Accrington Stanley."

"Accrington Stanley!, Who are they?"

"Exaaaccttlyyy...."

This does seem to be more of an effort to bring digital ID in via a backdoor - the proposal is less "under 16 social media ban" rather "over 16 will need to provide id to use social media"

I'd prefer that we had some standardised governmental endpoint that can authorise against a site for us, rather than use multiple individual methodologies to prove

I'm autistic and have misophonia and hyperacusis, not to mention auditory processing issues which mean I'm more likely to lock on to a noise rather than what I actually would like to listen to.

There's so much noise around - it really does tie in to the "social model of disability" in that a lot of my issues would disappear if environments weren't so hostile - that includes noise, smells, and lights.

I'm audhd also and the truly disabling part of my neurotype is the fact that I can do things and focus, I just can't choose when and where and what my focus is on.

I'm Audhd, 50, and my experience mirrors yours, although I can fall asleep earlier, but it's a die throw whether I wake around 3am or sleep fully until 7am.

The worst aspect is that I seem to procrastinate fun things now - like gaming, or making music.

Hope you can find something to help you recharge :)

I'm diagnosed autistic and ADHD.

A lot of my autistic issues are caused by society because they are mostly sensory - bright lights, random noise, synthetic smells.

The social model of disability doesn't cover all my symptoms and issues though, I am very much disabled. Pre diagnosis and medication my rejection sensitive dysphoria would cause me to perceive sleights and fly off the handle very easily.

5000 years ago I would have had a rock to the head.

I too have tried many things over the years and the only thing that truly works for me and my adhd (diagnosed) brain are post it notes and calendar alarms, unless of course I forget and accidentally put my phone on DND where it can stay for many days.

I will delete a ticket if it has a full thread copied in and "see below" - I don't have time to work out what you want or need, make an effort and ask me / tell me what you need, and be ambiguous about it.

A lot of the reason Dundee has such a great games producing history is down to the fact that the sinclair spectrum was built here in the timex factory.

Could be sunk cost fallacy in play - you've maybe spent weeks/months/years with this guild and not had any issues (or it's not been directed at you) - or even a raid night after a few hours, especially if it's been hard for you to get in. Sometimes easier to just weather and ignore the dickhead.

Which is probably why they go on to do it again and again.

I'm sure I remember an addon that allowed you to give feedback on players, but it was quickly used to grief decent players.

I can't really listen to music while I'm working because I concentrate more on the music - however music is great when I'm doing "boring" tasks like gardening, or cleaning.

If I'm working, I'll happily watch world cooking videos - before I was diagnosed with inattentive adhd I'd say that it was to keep the inner child happy and out of the way so the adult brain could do the work.

Really helps me, as someone diagnosed and medicated for inattentive adhd.

For example if someone emails me an issue saying "that invoice software you wrote has a slight miscalculation" instead of taking me ages to work up the ability to even start working on the issue never mind trying to calm my mind to go through the data logically - if i'm having a manic adhd day - I will get the person to pop along and we can go through the issue together, this helps my brain immensely.

Even at home now if I have something urgent to do, I'll get my mum or a friend to pop round and sit and chat with me while I do the work - whether it's the laundry, or laying turf in a garden.

Otherwise I'll procrastinate until it's (almost) too late yet feel guilty every second of the time I'm not doing what I need to do.
