The stock market is not the economy. All you are ultimately advocating for is keeping the exiting corrupt corporate leadership in charge and preventing market forces from replacing them with ethical leaders.

The treatment of Bernie Sanders has been a wake up call to young liberals that the corporate political/media complex is just as antithetical to liberalism and democracy as the most crazed trump supporter and 100 times more effective.
