The real lesson here is how unbelievably inept the hacker news audience seems to be with any practical task. The idea someone would spend hours assembling any piece of Ikea furniture is absurd. Anything on this list can be build in minutes. I did so even as an inexperienced teenager myself with no help. If it takes you 10 hours to assemble a wardrobe you should have a disability badge.

cool website bro
windows update is a well known malware vector, how does this warrant any news? if you absolutely have to use windows, you either go through the effort of stripping the particular version you chose from all the spyware and malware it comes packaged with and gut the malware loader paths out of it, or you accept that you're running a botnet node you have little to no control over.
Just disable javascript like any sane person. Wikipedia, like most websites, has no use case for javascript whatsoever.

Bit late for april fools'
No we don't.
I treat ChatGPT like a person. People are flawed. People lie. People make shit up. People are crazy. Just apply regular people filters to ChatGPT output. If you blindly believe ChatGPT output and take it for perfect truth, someone likely already sold you a bridge.
It's an outright trivial task.
I didn't read the article, the title is too obviously unintelligent. Obviously other tech companies have to not only copy one, but all of musk's management principles to be successful.
Coffee must be fresh to taste good, months old coffee is rubbish.
Don't buy stuff from HP. They're scamming customers, it's known.
Article ignores that people killing themselves speeding has largely positive effects for society.
I'm not.
Twitter is a great Mastodon alternative.
The anti-musk propaganda here is getting desperate.
absolutely nothing.
Unconditional support.
No it isn't.
When i opened the website, my screen turned bright yellow despite my darkreader extension. If your website is bright by default and doesn't work with some very basic dark mode extension, i won't bother checking it unless it's super important to me. Make websites dark by default if you're not able to make a clean website that can be manipulated by the user to their basic requirements.
I think the author overlooked that a read-only file system is of absolutely no practical use. If you can't write to it, then there will never be any data in it to be read.
The entire "scientific" field of nutrition has gone down a wrong path a couple decades ago, and the FDA specifically with their recommendations to eat a lot of carbs has done the public a great disservice.
Outsiders of the field have slowly started to figure out where nutrition went wrong, but since entities like the FDA have spread missinformation for decades, there is a lot of inertia to overcome, which will sadly take another couple decades apparently. Best examples i can remember ad hoc are probably Gary Taubes and Robert Lustig.
It's pretty clear by now that the obsession with eating carbs is actively harmful and likely the cause for the diabetes and obesity epidemic. The obsession with polyunsaturated plant fats is next, they oxidize rapidly, even inside our bodies, and cause great damage.
The issue for nutritionists is one of credibility, how does a scientific field collectively turn on a dime and proclaim literally the opposite of what they have claimed in the decades prior?
Too bad FDA recommendations are complete made up fantasy.
Everything can be measured, you just need to try harder to measure it. And make more spreadsheets. Spreadsheets are awesome. The problem is never "too many spreadsheets" the problem is always "not enough spreadsheets" and "spreadsheets not good enough".
I have never seen or heard of a "web agency" doing anything for a reasonable amount of money or in a reasonable timeframe. The whole business idea behind a web agency seems to be scamming customers out of the maximum possible amount of money. I would never even consider hiring one. For something like this you hire a solo freelancer. Fraction of the money, done way quicker, and you don't end up paying the gigantic overhead of the agency.
The issue with CNC machines is that one error in your code can and will easily crash one part of the machine into another part of the machine and thus break it. Often requiring a technician from the company and a bunch of spare parts to fix it, which, trust me, is never cheap. So giving a CNC machine to just anyone without proper training is quite a bad idea.
I was an unhappy Notepad++ user. For about 15 minutes. Then i tried Sublime and i've never looked back.
