The Baseball Hall of Fame is in Cooperstown, NY, which is in upstate NY in the middle of nowhere. It's there because of a fake baseball origin story created to attract tourists. A few other halls of fame popped up in the same area to exploit the hall of fame branding, all of which have moved or failed, including the Soccer HOF, the Corvette HOF, and Hamburger HOF (which I think was just a mediocre burger joint).
And a fun piece of trivia: it was the first movie ever aired on HBO.

This is lower tier D1 baseball in the Northeast, so revenue is going to be minimal.
I wouldn't count on that third book ever happening. It was first announced in 2005, the same year as his death, and I believe Amazon has had a page for it (with cover art) since at least 2006.
I would be shocked if that's true. 30 years ago I remember it being a big deal when the family car reached 100,000 miles. If you kept a car running long enough to get it to 200,000 miles you'd probably get an short article written about it in the local newspaper.

It really can't be overstated how important the DVD drive was for the PS2's success. When the first Fast and the Furious movie came out it almost seemed realistic that a criminal gang would risk their lives while attempting to steal DVD players from a truck. That movie's premiere was 8 months after the PS2 was released in the US. A DVD player AND a next gen video game console for $299 was an incredible deal in 2000.

Athletics is one way high schoolers with less than stellar academic records can navigate past college admissions departments and get accepted at a school where they might not otherwise be qualified. Most people already knew this about scholarship athletes, but the recent college admissions scandal involved non-athletes being listed by college coaches as recruited athletes. It's basically the coach telling the admissions department that this student might play on their team and therefore should get preferential treatment with admissions.
