Is this any different than Bearer.sh?
Having lived here for the past few years, originally from the Midwest in an area much different than SF, my best take on the younger generation working in tech is that most do not hold strong views in terms of fiscal policies and generally equate politics to social issues. There is a fear of not being "politically correct" and offending someone. Most do not actually care and just lean with the side of least resistance.
Probably not much can be done besides bringing more attention to this, gave it an upvote and clap.
Lob.com (YC13) will service this?
I agree, Ethereum is an example of something that took the concepts underpinning Bitcoin: distributed immutable legder and verifiable trust and created an platform that I think can be very interesting for building decentralized marketplaces.
The technology is new so there are going to be hurdles but in terms of scaling and obviously a lot of speculation, but I think there are also a lot of socio/geopolitical factors that will continue to make cryptocurrencies a thing.

Congrats guys, great work!
Completely agree here. I had the option to join a startup or go with an established web company this past year when I graduated and I chose the more established company. The reason I did this was because I wanted to learn what was tools and technologies were being used and how they were being implemented by established web companies today and build upon that knowledge. Obviously the larger company has done something right in order to get to where they are. Plus, there is a level of stability. Bigger companies also tend to be able to help international students better and provide a little more financial security to someone who may have college loans. I have learned so much this past year at my job and will carry that knowledge when I do start or join a startup.
I also feel the same in regards to working for a startup when you're not a founder or a very early employee. It is completely true you likely will be making your bosses rich and not as much yourself, unless you're like an absolute rockstar their equity is still going to be at least 20-50x more than you (this is just a rough guess). If you think you can do it on your own, might as well.

Same, if FB had a standalone chat app, I'd just use that and really never go on the site.
This isn't anything new...
I just pinged one of the founders and told him to reply, so hopefully he'll come and answer your question!
I got the same problem, opened up the Javascript Console, seems to be some error where something is null. Not quite sure how I can sell or buy at the moment unless I try writing something up with their API.
When I first bought the MBP 15" retina, my screen started ghosting. I got it replaced 3 times. Even though its an issue that was resolved with an update the staff at the Apple store told me they will not consider it to be a problem unless a certain amount of reports of it have been filed, so if you have the problem, report it, get your laptop sent in because they need laptops that produce this problem in order to fix it.
I think one improvement you can make in this design is to make it easy to distinguish different types of posts. There are posts that are news, some are blog posts, some are showcases, others may just be job listings. Currently its not always so clear on HN.
Awesome!
