I’m surprised this has managed to avoid a DDOS from China with their new policy of shifting the blame to Italy or the US.

This sounds like a great idea on paper, but with Apple being based in California who has some of the most strict anti-discrimination laws, this seems to violate the Unruh act by deciding who can attend strictly by sex? Is this not illegal? Wouldn’t they have covered themselves better by saying underserved?

I would argue the fact, that today’s surface run pretty much unfettered windows 10 gives them more useful software than Chrome Os, Android, and Linux. Who cares about the Android and Chrome Os apps when they are mostly social networks, media consumption, or badly ported phone apps, and when you can literally install and run in compatibility mode pretty much any software ever written for windows.

I wouldn’t jump the gun on that. OP was clearly trying to create a worse case scernaio so that a reader may see the story from the perspective of a land owner vs the first comment which while a beautiful sentiment doesn’t really take practicalities like liability into consideration.

And I think it was a very valid concern. I put off upgrading my gaming tower to 4K for another 2-3 years last year when prices were insane, and instead got an xbox one x. I know that all the games would run better on my pc but when the marginal cost is so much higher to upgrade my GPU that it’s frankly more than good enough.

No, it actually says you need to sign in with LinkedIn to verify you work for the company you say you do(also not hard to fake so don't know why they insist, my bet is this is a LinkedIn employee). No thanks, and no guarantee that your info isn't shared etc. This seems like it has a high potential for abuse.

There is the off chance that while they are waiting longer and watching their fellow travelers patted down more and more they will realize what a ridiculous show of security theater TSA checkpoints are. There are significantly easier ways to get contraband on board planes then the security checkpoints, and most of them involve weak ground crew security and checks.

Simple but effective way to get the owner to pay up. Although I remember seeing this on reddit a week or two back, so maybe not that effective? Just out of curiosity what are the legal ramifications of doing this? Could it be considered defacing the site and some how fall under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, or since the owner never payed/didn't pay the full amount is the site still the property of the dev?

I got one, and so far love it. The pc streaming feature is fantastic not to mention the ability to have all my favorite old console games emulated on the go.

I think the real question should be is there possibly a back door on your mobile os of choice, because it won't matter what app you use if your os is already capable of capturing that data system wide.
