The Apollo Reddit client for iOS just released a Safari extension that redirects all Reddit links into the app. Works well for getting around their horrible mobile site.

Try doing a battery replacement. I bought one off Amazon for $20 and it came with all the necessary tools. The process was pretty easy if you watch a few guides on YouTube beforehand.

DDG gives you the option to have it detect your location or you can set your location manually. I just set mine to approximately my usual location and it gives pretty good location-based results. For example, “pizza near me” shows a map with a bunch of nearby pizzerias.

Try changing the antialiasing to Greyscale under Appearance & Behavior - Appearance. That made it less blurry for my PhpStorm installation on macOS.

Maybe it's because I read the book and can fill in the gaps, but that trailer seemed like it gave away the entire plot of the movie. Astronaut gets left behind on Mars and while he's coming up with ingenious ways to survive, someone comes up with a plan to rescue him that might result in his entire crew dying. I think the trailer should've left out that last part about the rescue operation because we all know their plan is going to work.

Maybe ask the user to enter three movies they like and then give a recommendation based off those three. I'd be more compelled to sign up once I see the recommendation it returns isn't completely off the mark.

Just checked out Lateral and it seems really cool. Just wondering what your monetization plan is. I'd like to use this for a site I develop at work, but wouldn't want you guys to suddenly announce exorbitant fees or shut down due to insufficient funding.

I don't know how much a few anecdotes matter, but to answer your question, no. My MacBook from 2009 is running perfectly fine today. I used it quite heavily throughout college and always keep it on sleep mode so it's been running pretty much continuously for years. I did replace the hard-drive with an SSD, but I still use the original as a small portable drive.

After giving that MacBook to my dad, I upgraded to a 13" Retina MacBook Pro, which is amazing. I used it for a few months before selling it to my brother and switching to the late 2013 15" one. Both laptops are running great and there are no screen issues.

And for what it's worth, I had a positive experience when I needed to bring the 15" into the Apple store. I had stupidly used a cheap wireless mouse with a plastic USB connector and a piece of plastic got stuck in the USB port. Apple removed it free of charge.

I bought a car recently and I can tell you if I've gone through all that paperwork and haggling, I want my car that night. There's no way I'm waiting until the next day to get my car just so some dealership can get a head start on its quota.

StepStats is great! I just got a Fitbit for Christmas and these graphs are a lot better than the ones on the Fitbit site. The best part is they work on iOS devices unlike the Flash ones that Fitbit uses.

The subject line and contact info also take up a lot of vertical space. The actual content of the email doesn't start until halfway down the screen. Compare this to iOS Mail where the content starts about 20% down (the contact details are hidden until you click Details).

If the author weren't using an iPhone 5 with the longer screen, the first paragraph of the email would barely be visible.

Why is there even a human picker? In the video it looks like all the picker does is grab the item from the inventory pod and put it in a box. That seems like it can definitely be automated.

Realistically, how often does this happen though? Even my worst enemies wouldn't unsubscribe me from a mailing list just to piss me off. Plus, anyone I forward an email to is probably an acquaintance who wouldn't do that.

The benefits of 1-click unsubscribe and not receiving additional unwanted emails outweigh this small chance of being unsubscribe from a list I want to be on.
