For Go I copywrite a systemd service, for js/html I write a client side bash script and use rsync and run commands via ssh.

What the article fails to mention is that you can use as a disk backed in memory database/cluster. In a replicaset you can have e.g. 2 in memory nodes and 3 disk backed nodes. Postgres doesn't have that. I wish it did. Mysql has in memory tables. Postgres doesn't.

Redis is a key value store and not a database. Also I'd strongly disagree that it's used in most web projects. I have never, not a single time had the need to use Redis in 17 years of web development

There's that, but I usually think "Man I must've been really unfocused or otherwise distracted to write it like this" but then analyzing it, it starts make total sense. But there's also the opposite. Code where I can't believe I was so smart to write. And then I remember that I can solve any problem if I keep attacking it time and again and tune my brain to it.

I tried to like it again and again but I just couldn't. It was always a super boring experience. I preferred Meridian 59 and later DAOC. EQ wasn't my thing either, so much downtime. 1 minute of fighting 5 minutes of waiting. UO endless whacking of rocks and chopping of wood. One time I did that 3 days only watching the screen and I wrote an automation script to do that. After that I never looked back.

Until you get in conflict with Microsoft's friends like Google or the Go team for just wanting a more readable font and them starting a diffamation campaign against you. I was on Github for 7 years. Then I dared to not accept a no for an answer. The Go team made sure I was "flagged" with no ability to delete my account. The move away from github cost about 1500€ in time and because the account was flagged I had to provide credentials for EACH of the over 120 repositories I had there. I never talked to anyone with a name, only devsup or other fake named people. To this day the account isn't deleted, despite me telling them to delete it multiple times. When you hover over an @ mention the profile is visible. I have written to a GDPR watcher who only replied that their EU office was in the Netherlands and that they're an US company.

So apparently the EUGDPR doesn't mean shit when you're Microsoft.

This also made me delete all my accounts associated with Microsoft, like LinkedIn etc. Microsoft is evil and so is Google. They need to be broken up into smaller parts. They have too much power.

What also happened was Google then actively went after my adsense earnings. All of a sudden I received warnings and sites being deactivated for monetization. The webmaster console also started showing errors and my sites were delisted!
