My career has been split between Developer and DevOps roles, and I enjoy both. Also, I have been working remotely since 2019 in groups that span a wide range of time zones, but I would welcome a hybrid role.

The reason my last position was for only one year is because it was a startup and we ran out of funding.

In my limited experience it's pretty comparable to what you'll find in the US. I took a pay cut when I moved here from SV, but I would have taken one even if I hadn't left SV since I wanted to work at a smaller company and I was leaving one of the big internet players.
