do you have any evidence of this? from my personal experience pests are an even bigger problem for growing plants indoors.

lack of predatory parts of the food chain allow some pests to go unchecked.

just one spider mite in a greenhouse... could quickly overtake the whole thing with out natural predators like lady bugs and predatory mites.

why does a person's interest in the application of their work serve as a signal for if you should hire them? I mean maybe for someone in a product role, but how is it relevant to hiring an individual contributor?

not hiring someone just because of their internal philosophies feels like gate keeping to me.

if someone is a cynic and realizes most start ups arent out there "making the world a better place"... doesn't really have any bearing on their potential output.

all of my friends at google say the grant is in dollars and stays in dollars at google. at the end of the quarter you get a variable number of shares based on current stock price. While this reduces upside, it also reduces downside.

every restaurant and bar I've been to in Brooklyn in the last week now also has the menu, ordering, and payment entirely through the QR codes. most using the Toast platform. I don't see this trend going back the other way.
