The anti-AI hysteria comes predominantly from the American left, as AI is going to hugely undermine their power. American right are excited - they are finally going to get rid of their longtime annoying nemesis. It doesn't really change anything for Europeans and I have no idea what Asians think. I can imagine, AI is actually going to hit Asia the most, eliminating all the cheap offshore workforce. I can imagine Indian IT sector can be almost completely wiped out. I guess Japanese don't hate AI for the same reasons as Europeans - it doesn't really change much in their stable life.
Absolute bliss.
The pasta factory analogy is hilarious, get an upvote. Is it something from the WWII?
It's meant for war. Today it folds your clothes, tomorrow it plants mines and shoots at you on a battlefield.
Isn't it just like porn and video games work too. Weird no one thought of it before.
That was a Rorschach test.
StackOverflow was a pretty toxic and hostile place. I'm surprised they did nothing to fix it. And I'm not speaking of rainbows and unicorns, it was really easy to stop punishing people for asking questions - it was a web-site for asking questions after all.
Then they forbid using AI to answer questions - another huge miss. They could have leveraged AI as a great cool gig on their web-site - they didn't. Too bad.
Good job on creating a firewall for people who have poor vision.
Vatican server names sounded somewhat interesting too: Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael. They set up their own ISP and cloud hosting since then, but it was a funny gig they did in the past.
Check what companies he worked for and never work for them. He's got his CV on his website.
Did the UK get rid of the Muslim rape gangs already? No one is being raped on social media, yet all the hysteria is focused on social media when it should be focused on a completely different issue that actually harms children in real life on a massive scale - outside and unrelated to the internet.
Why the hell EU even needs an age verification app? Who's genius idea is this and what for?
That is an anime voice.
This is not what I'm saying. Telling people to eat less meat or live in smaller houses is not only inefficient, but a counterproductive way to protect environment. This is environmental protection theatre, if not circus. It makes environmental protection measures look laughable and ridiculous. Unless something is done against the biggest pollutors, eating less meat (now think about how dangerous this advice looks without taking into account who it's addressed at - stupid parents can stop feeding their children meat and cause them lifelong health problems) won't prevent environmental problems. Sorry, I'm interested in participating or endorsing environmenal protection circus.
Chinese and Indian CO2 emissions dwarf anything you mentioned. You can stop eating meat altogether and move to a small doghouse, it won’t make any global impact at all.
It won't work. You would need to back up your claim with proof that someone hacked your router. You can't drive a car that is easily breakable and expect the court to clear you of any responsibility if it causes harm because it broke while you were driving.
AI has been seriously around for how long? Two years? Isn't it a bit too early to say?
Old people and bad vision people firewall. This will violate disability accessibility requirements.
You are teaching your children to be even more secretive and hide things from you even better.
I have some bad news for you, the Chat Control was originally brought up by the left. Mainly by Ylva Johansson (Swedish Social Democrat, S&D group). Leftist origin via Johansson/S&D, but later sustained by mainstream centrists and now a watered down version is partly supported by conservatives too.
Left fascism was not so long ago. Think of the woke hysteria, black lives matter, cancelling on twitter, people losing their jobs because of them saying something the left ideology did not like etc.
Left have been and still are viciously hateful and racist towards white people. So if you are left and while, you are basically destroying your own livelihood.
Conservative Poland, Italy and Ireland are strictly against Chat Control. Well, at least against the worse version of it.
AI generated article to promote some product. What a great meta proof.

To everyone who wants to dismantle the EU: this is not the solution. Dismantling the EU is like burning down your own house just to get rid of flies. The UK left the EU and implemented its own version of chat control - Online Safety Act - without any transparency or real opposition. The right solution is the political fight. Europe is our home. We must keep it in good shape by getting rid of anything that makes it worse - like Chat Control.
Dismantling the EU is like burning down your own house to get rid of flies. That is absolutely not the right solution. Without the EU, chat control would already have been implemented in its worst form everywhere, just as it already is in the UK. The UK left the EU and implemented its own version of chat control.
Local governments are likely to block the initiative. We need a Polish based messenger that won't bend to chat control fascist initiatives.
Just a few years ago cannabis was presented online as a miracle drug that could cure all physical and psychological diseases. Any criticism of the sacred cannabis was strictly forbidden and dissenters were burned alive in the figurative fire of social media. Interesting how times are changing.
Don't blame programmers, blame the insane annual review system at IT corporations.
Introduce the same system at train engineering companies and you'll get the same result.
Almonds producers in California use roughly 60-85 times more water annually than all US data centers combined, depending on the exact figures and whether indirect power-plant water is included.
Wake up, people! Stop the evil producers of almonds!
An ancient article that now looks even cheesier. It's so hard to make those goddamn stairs. So complex, such wisdom.
