Factr (factr.com) is a new kind of social network for organizing and sharing knowledge. We help organizations, teams and individuals to collaboratively create information streams on the issues that matter to them. Our budding user base includes people from dozens of organizations, from small startups to multinational entities like the United Nations.
We are entering a rapid growth phase and are looking for a talented lead or senior software engineer to help build out the team and take the product to market. We’re seeking a passionate leader to maintain, scale and extend our React/Django/Celery/ElasticSearch/MYSQL/AWS stack on AWS with Ansible. Knowledge of these technologies or similar is essential, but we'd especially appreciate experience in scaling Elasticsearch (ES) for complex queries and large datasets. Machine learning (ML) techniques for topic modeling would be a bonus: both ML and ES power exciting features to help users sort and make sense of large streams of information.
