wouldn't hope for it to happen any time soon... google owns so much stuff that rebranding everything takes a looooot of time! they might also never rebrand it if they think it's not any more a core service

Seems quite odd to me. Last (and first) time something landed on a comet it didn't go as planned. Harpoon's fault. Maybe a fishcakes grab isn't the best solution, maybe done magnetic one?

I can't picture a day Google decides make money directly out of Android. It gets them tons of users to their services which gets them tons of money. And all companies building Android phones are doing the selling hard part instead of Google. Far more likely is an ever greater interaction between Android, online services and chrome OS until they all mix undistinguished or one takes over the others.

Hopefully css doesn't need to be eradicated like flash today... It was great back in the days but now flash is the worst
