I've been working on digitizing my family genealogy. ~90 years ago, a book was published documenting my family's lineage in America. I've digitized part of it, used OCR to extract the text, and then used LLMs to format the data for integration into a family tree. I hope to publish the family tree and make it editable so that it's a living family tree that others can add to and keep up to date.
My company is currently trialing this with the Open API Spec. The workflow at a high level:
1) Make code changes to a specific microservice. (note: The Open API Spec also lives in code.)
2) CI/CD pipelines get triggered.
3) New microservice is built.
4) Call every REST endpoint defined in the microservice's Open API Spec and validate it using the example requests/responses.
5) If successful, regenerate the API documentation from the Open API Spec.
This ensures that our documentation and services will stay inline with each other.
The Egg is a (very) short story that I've often found myself thinking about.
Hopefully, Italy's lockdown is successful at slowing down the spread.

I've always found Troy Hunt's tech stack of haveibeenpwned.com interesting. The API does 5M requests a day with Azure Functions and Cloudflare caching. Ultimately only costing him 2.6c per day.

It's not about the money. It's about the fame - having you're name in stone for a very very long time. Some people see success as having their names printed in textbooks and in history books.
My favorite engine sound is the Toyota Hybrid TS030 going from electric to its V8. Also sounds like a spaceship.
I was looking at the same phones as you a few weeks ago, then the Nexus 6 price dropped to $350 on Amazon and I quickly jumped on it. Pretty solid phone for the price.

This reminds me of the 3D0. It was the first 32 bit video game console on the market and was well ahead of its time in multiple ways (Internet multiplayer). However they entered a saturated market at a very steep cost and never fully took off. This won't take off at a 1000 dollars. Who has that kind of money to spend on something that doesn't provide more value than alternatives?
