Your data integrity is at risk not using ECC ram (EXTRA ESPECIALLY IF YOU USE SOFTWARE RAID), which is usually gated out of consumer hardware.

Though those poweredges would have had it.

Congestion pricing can work to dissuade individuals from living in the burbs, only if there is controls on real estate to deal with the influx of people moving inward. The other benefit is an increase of mass transit usage, which is a plus?

I personally took a cab from Newark to Laguardia at MIDNIGHT and it took 40 min to cross into Manhattan to get to the Queens-Midtown tunnel. Just a new level of traffic. Was fun going in the MIB tunnel.

APC has gone downhill in the time I've been a sysadmin. Eaton is the way to go for commercial units. Don't purchase anything without a bypass or else the UPS will be dead when the battery dies, as decent UPSs operate in on-line mode.

I am concerned about newish implementation of li-ion cells in commercial UPSs. They are not designed to stay at capacity for a long time. That coupled with the volatility of li-ion, means there may be more datacenter fires in the future.

Correct, the dongles connect via ethernet cables (not ip protocol) to the raritan unit. Then you access the raritan via IP to access the dongle outputs.

I don't give a shit about T2, really. I only care about the concept of Kerbal Space Program, the mere fact it is getting attention at all is shocking, let alone from a AAA game studio (for better or for worse there). The heads of some of the best mods of KSP1 are in the dev teams, it seems to be getting the attention it needs to succeed in the long run.

Everyone seems to love shitting on KSP2, when the same people forget what KSP1 was like in Alpha. No science, shitty graphics, excessively wobbly rockets, inconsistent orbits, (other than graphics) seems familiar?

It took a looooong time for KSP1 to get where it is now, it will also take awhile for KSP2 to be as polished.

Chill out.

You are making a point that uncontrolled railway crossings should be banned, correct.

Though what you don’t get is the concept of inertia at the train’s scale. You can’t just say “mass cancels out”. The specific energy to stop is the same per given amount of mass, however the amount of mass is not in the same league. Not to mention the CoF differentials between rubber/asphalt to steel/steel.

Moving parts (other than RRoD) are the major reason for failure. HDs are among the worst offenders. The PS3 has a full SATA compatible drive slot and easy data transfer instructions. Designed to be owner accessible. Mine has a SSD now. Not so much on the 360 part, and my Jasper’s (hw rev) hard drive is not sounding great. There are utils for emulating the insane drive ID and custom boot block but why am I required to jump through such hoops.
